Is this Chevy's Colorado-based Bronco fighter?

Spies have caught a mule testing what might be a new Ford Bronco fighter from Chevrolet. While the shots are very low-res, there's enough here that they may have stumbled upon something pretty significant.

Great news, I didn't expect a Wrangler competitor to be this far along.

That looks like a platform test in very early stages of testing.

Interesting, but I think it looks like they put tarps over somebody's mud buggy.

Based. Think it's a GMC, though.

    Has to be.

An off road capable SUV is too innovative and unique in this particular market for General Motors to ever bother trying.

You better hope its styling is different to the Holden Trailblazer, that thing is butt ugly.

Nothing gets you trailblazin like a ZR2 trimmed SUV.

Looks interesting, but could it be testing for a company sponsored Baja team?

There's an idea because it basically has no front or rear end, just the cab section and all the rest is tires and suspension. But then if that were it, why cover the thing in the black camo? Maybe to hide the chopped up mess or just make people like us wonder and speculate.

The update is pretty good-looking, it just has an ugly ass and a cartoonish DLO. I don't get how small or easily manipulated things can pass muster at GM design HQ.

I don't see why both couldn't be true. Build yourself some off-road cred by using your new ZR2-badged product (or your new GMC) or a facsimile as a Baja vehicle.

Didn't Ford do that with the new F-150?

You hit upon something here and could well work. I think I remember something like that with Ford a while back too.

    It could be anything.

A product as described would be far ballsier than something I'd expect from Chevy. I hope I'm wrong.
Pony Car: an affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image and an available V8.

It would be something if FM introduced a concept before Ford.

About time GM offers some excitement other than just for Camaro and Vette fans.
