Re: The 2015 Colorado/Canyon Information Thread

After I decided a fullsize was "too much" I kept an eye on the developing news on these trucks. But I had a nice $4000 top-off to use last winter and bought a Cruze Diesel. That'll hold me for a few years, will just have to see how GM continues to develop these trucks to bring my interest level high enough to buy again.

Re: The 2015 Colorado/Canyon Information Thread

I tried the car thing for 2 years. Although I MUCH prefer the performance, ride, and mpg of a nice sports car going without a truck ended up being a chore, daily.

I then bought my current Canyon as a spare vehicle and instantly used it every day, not because I wanted to, but because I had chores that required it.

I have now accepted that the new Corvette that I was certain I was going to order, would just be completely impractical for me and that I have to use a truck as my primary (and in my case that means only) transportation. So I traded in my sports car for my wife's Cruze-D (great car btw) soon afterwards.

Fortunately for me, I expect to find the size, aesthetics, and even the mpg of the new diesel Canyon to be acceptable to me everyday.

Sorry GM, but you haven't convinced me of any reason to BUY/Trade my '98 SS Stepside. Why?

Re: The 2015 Colorado/Canyon Information Thread

Chevrolet.com has updated info on the Colorado. You can now toggle between cab configurations and trim packages for the main picture. Still no pricing info (not surprising) or anything else we'd want to know.
    Current Vehicles:
    1999 Tahoe 4x4 - daily driver
    1999 Camaro Z28 - bolt-on weekend vehicle
    2015 Equinox LTX - wife's car

The website has, but the ability to customize the truck in the display picture is new.

I don't know how long the site has allowed you to configure, but it's been at least a month or so.

That said, a silver Z71 extended cab with 18" wheels will be mine.

Still can't see what a 2WD extended cab will look like from the GM site; all pics are 4WD models.

Not sure how many people know about this site, but it shows that the configurator has been on there since at least Dec 20. They did add content. The 18" wheels are new.

    Headlamps, projector-type with LED signature

For Colorado? I didn't see LEDs on Colorado.

I'm thinking this is a bad case of copy/paste gone rampant from the Canyon. But they could have changed it from pre-production.

Dammit. A foot too long for my parents' garage.

Looks like the Sonoma will soldier on for my dad for a few more years.
