I saw the Colorado at the auto shoe last year. It's a good looking truck in person.

Re: The 2015 Colorado/Canyon Information Thread

I fell in love with the Emerald Green Metallic that was shown on the 2015 GMC Canyon at this year's Philly Auto Show. While I'd really like a Sierra, the transaction price for a SLT crew cab standard bed 4WD model is out of my reach plus I don't need the capabilities of a full-size pickup. The new Canyon will suit me well and I too will likely order mine so it comes equipped how I want it. This would be only the third vehicle I pre-ordered; 2001 GMC Sonoma Highrider and 2007 Saturn SKY; all others were off the dealer's lot or a dealer trade.

Thanks for putting this together, I can't wait for more information to be released (likely around the NYIAS is my guess).

Re: The 2015 Colorado/Canyon Information Thread

Updated the first post to include the link to the Colorado's preliminary specifications.

Hat tip to derek77, for discovering that the four cylinder models receive a 4.10 rear axle ratio, and the V6 models receive a 3.42 rear axle ratio.

No other ratios have been confirmed yet.

Ugh...the computer generated renderings have got to be ditched.

They just don't look good. I've played video games that look more real.

Whatever happened to taking actual pictures?

I was thinking the same thing. For all of the grief people here give GM for CGI press photos, to make a video is even more ridiculous. Cool video, but this won't do anything to improve people's opinion & make them want one.

Re: The 2015 Colorado/Canyon Information Thread

I have some actual inside news for you guys. No BFG All Terrain tires from the factory for the twins, but they will be available as an accessory. These appear to be the actual tires the Z71 will use, and I'm assuming the Canyon will share the same for the All Terrain package. I heard back from the representative from the auto show that I talked to yesterday, courtesy of GM Engineering:

Goodyear is the supplier for all of our OEM tires. The tires that were previously used were tires that will be available as accessories. Whether or not the accessory tires will be available at start of production is in question, so we have removed the accessory tires from all of our show properties, and replaced them with the tires that will come from the factory.

    Dammit.

I don't have a problem with Goodyears but those BFGs would've been awesome from the factory.
