Question Would you drive a full-size sport utility vehicle made by Buick?

Yes, I realize GM already has a bunch of full-size SUVs. But I was wondering what a "real" full-size Buick SUV might look like - so I slapped one together in Photoshop. Would anyone who actually has the proper skills like to modify the design and make something nice? Who might be the market for a vehicle like this? Would it sell in China? Could there even BE a market in America with the Yukon Denali and Escalade rolling around? I think the Tahoe is meant for a different market. I wonder if Buick could focus on a more luxurious SUV. I don't know. Obviously, it's not going to happen - curiosity just happened to get to me this morning...

Only think it would work in China. In the US, GMC covers the same space as a BOF Buick SUV

and Buick leans on GMC for its "truck" line up

as it stands NOW the "standard" SUVS are so pricey and the "step up" cost to go into a Denali OR Escalade there is LITTLE room for a Buick

but to get on topic again "would I drive one" YES - would I pick over a Denali ONLY of it offers SOMETHING I wanted AND is NOT to EGG shaped (I find the Large CUV a big bulbous in looks)

You're probably right. I do wonder if it would work in China. What other large SUVs exist there? I wonder if there's a market. If so, I'm sure people would like a "Buick" as the brand seems to do well there...

Yes, that's really what I was trying to get at. Kind of take yourself out of reality for a moment and forget that there's a Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade. Would a huge Buick SUV be something you'd like? You answered.

I really hate GMC to be honest, so I'd rather see a lot of GMC just shift elsewhere.

    "Yes," although no, I wouldn't.

Why not? If it is different enough and priced right.... What the heck. The "shop" looks pretty doggone good, BTW.

I would like to see the Cadillac XT7.... I did almost "off" the Expy EL for an Audi Q7, but it is just a bit too small. I'd like something just a hair larger than that. Larger than a Durango. I don't like the proportions of a Tahoe or regular length Expy. Too stubby. Maybe a stretched out Explorer with a Lincoln Badge? Naw.... i want to see what the XT7 looks like, first.

    No

Why destroy your most profitable brand?

Anyone who would even offer this as a suggestion at GM should be fired immediately.

Buick has a limited market in the U.S. and should not be trying to be a luxury brand at all as it has been costing GM Billions of dollars in profitable sales revenue.

Buick needs to be Subaru and make some real money for GM and get out of Cadillac's (and GMC's) way.

    I'd rather have a Denali.

I've always considered the Enclave to be full size.

I say no. Chevy, Cadillac, and GMC have it covered. Although the Photoshop looks pretty good the thing is IMO Buick has never had one here in the US and I'm not so sure given what public perception of what a Buick should be that it would work out. Now that being said it might be a whole other ball game in China.

    No.

    Not my thing.
