    New past model Buick LaCrosse

Dealer near me came across some (new) 2013 and 2014 cars, I'm a little leery about this but if the price is right I could jump on board. One of the cars has an old and a new sticker in the window and the original sticker said it was shipped to NJ. Possible it could be a Hurricane Sandy car but as Sandy came through in Oct 2012 not likely. The one I'm interested in is a 3.6 2013 and I'm trying to figure a price. Nada only list used for 2013 but there listing for a used 2013 with 0 miles is $19,000 (MSRP $35,000). What do you guys think is a fair price for this car.

Firewall on my work computer will not let me to look at the exact car but it is there in the Buick section of this site. They are asking $29,000 on the web site.

I would suggest you not pay over $20,000.

Here is the Chevrolet/Buick/Cadillac site: http://www.mjsullivangm.com/HomePage

    The same dealer also has a couple 2015 LaCrosse's discounted almost as much, today a 2015 is a year-old car, that means a 2013 is a 3 year-old car.

What its worth, and what they are willing to sell it for are thousands of dollars apart, don't waste your time; you can bet in the next 22 days (the rest of the month/year) GM will put 15 or 20 percent discounts on a big selection of their Buick inventory, shop around, so you know what to look for, and what is a good deal, so when one of those appears, you can snag it in confidence.

    Good Luck,
    Ed

^^ What they say. You are buying a 3-year-old car that is worth what a 3-year-old car is worth.

Long ago in a place far away I spotted a fairly rare diesel Escort, maybe an 86 or something like that. The car was three model years old. I knew the dealership owner personally, though we were hardly homeboyz.

I asked him what he wanted for that 3-year-old car. "What's on the sticker, of course!" Some of these guys live in a dream world. OTOH perhaps he sold the car to an idiot for sticker.

Buying a 3-year-old car for anything NEAR sticker is foolish. Ask the bank what it's worth on a loan.

Maybe if he thinks about it this way...........

Fast-Forward 12 months and 12,000 miles; What is a 4 year old LaCrosse with 12,000 miles worth?

Here is a 4 year old Certified Buick, with 15,000 miles for $16,987 - that is the full retail asking price, the person that just traded this car in probably got about $13,000 ~ $14,000 tops.

This looks like the car you're looking at.

I agree with the above posts, it isn't worth it unless the dealer is willing to part with it cheap. Which my guess is, they won't be.

Thanks everyone. These where also my thoughts but I still would like to make an offer an my thought was leaning at $19,000. I do like being able to have factory warranty and it is the old warranty before the reduced it.

That makes his proposed offer of 19 grand somewhat reasonable.

Make sure you get that it's the warranty as of when the car was built, not the newer lesser warranty, in writing.

In fact, you might want to check with GM just to be sure. In writing from GM would be nice.

I once had a dealer try to weasel out (aka charge me for warranty repairs) of a Certified 39/39 warranty. I should have escalated the issue, the service department was a real bunch of A-holes. With ONE exception, a guy who made it work.

Dealers simply CANNOT BE TRUSTED. They will smile and shake your right hand as they slip the shiv down their left sleeve and prepare to stick it in your back.

I took a used 2015 Lacrosse for a test ride today. 15,000 miles AWD no option left out. they are asking $25,900. I like this one much more. Nicer paint, HUD. I'm giving it a lot of thought. My budget is (was) $20,000 but I can swing it at $25,900. it will leave my bank account dry though. Maybe finance $6,000 to leave breathing room in my bank account.

Never accept their "asking" price. It's almost time for 2017s to start looming around, they'll want to move inventory. I bet you could get it down to $23-24k
