NICE! I got $1,000 or $2,000 loyalty off my Sierra because of my Cruze lease, which was less than $3,500 in payments for the entire 2 years!
(and I also got my lease turn-in waived because the purchase was close enough to the end of the Cruze lease!)
I've noticed a lot of "conquests" would be nice to capitalize on my Rogue Lease that expires in November. (which I am still considering buying)

The "Loyalty", for which I also would have qualified because of the 2017 Buick Encore lease return, was $750.
$2,000 for conquest but only $750 for loyalty? Does that make sense? Shouldn't they reward their loyal customers more? This happens to be the 6th Buick* we have gotten since 2012!

Take your time, but I would be interested in how you and your wife compare the GX with the regular Encore in terms of ride quality, quietness, wind noise, engine smoothness, interior quality. Is the stop start intrusive, or do you turn it off?
No need to respond right away, just when you have some impressions. Thanks.

Maybe they think they'll get all those saps, I mean customers, back when the zerozerozero electrical-bonanza cash register starts going ca-ching ca-ching and everybody gets wealthy beyond their wildest dreams, CO2 is banished from Muvver Earff's atmosphere, World Peace & Universal Prosperity ensues, and, well, things just get downright chipper for one and all.

Yes I too would be interested in any comments longislander and his wife might have with their new Encore GX, esp. in my case about the new 3cyl: MPG (is it better than your old Encore?), power, smoothness, etc.
No rush what with virus etc.
Thanks in advance, stay safe people.

Dude WTF are you on about? We're talking about the Encore GX in this thread. Can you have one post where your personal fringe politics don't seep into your contributions to the thread? We get it, you think global warming and all is some made up conspiracy to keep trump from getting re-elected or something...go buy some taint cream and bone broth milk shakes and keep that ish to yourself or move your ramblings to twitter with the rest of the crazies.

I test drove both the 1.2 & 1.3l (CVT) and they both seem to be slightly peppier than the original Encore. I drove on the highway and passed a few vehicles without any issues. The CVT transmission on the Encore GX did not seem as course sounding as I have noticed on the Honda Civic or the Honda fit vehicles, which in my opinion is a nice plus. Over two months ago, I placed an order for the encore GX sports trim With all the bells and whistle‘s with the exception of the sunroof. I should be getting it in about 3 to 4 weeks according to the manufacturer. I hope I made the right decision and I also hope I get a fair deal this coming May.
I have heard numerous ranting about how sluggish this vehicle will be with the 1.3 engine, that produces 155 hp and 174 pounds of torque. I just looked at the Toyota C-HR with a 2.0L engine that only produces 144 hp and 139 pounds of torque. Vehicle was not sluggish in anyway, so I don’t know what their complaint was based on. Was it purely the i3 they referred to compared to the slightly larger i4 engine? Not to mention, the encore GX gets slightly better gas mileage. With the additional sensors and the sound deadening, I believe I made the right decision. Will report back here upon receiving my new vehicle.

Thanks for attempting to clear that up. Probably unsuccessfully in that particular case.
It's been a puzzlement to me forever, which is how long these "loyalty" vs. "conquest" rewards have been around. BTW I still recall one of my aunts laughing about rebates when they were first offered. She saw right through the nothingness of rebates.
But why you'd favor another maker's customer over your own? I guess you have no respect for loyalty, perhaps the Top Brass assume "loyal customers" = "bunch of dimwitted yellowbellied sapsuckers," but who knows?

Congrats on the new vehicle !! Love the blue.Thank you for getting an actual color, instead of one of 4 shades of grey metallic, 2 shades of white, or 3 different blacks.
