Driving a 2016 CTS: Any Questions?

Guys, I'm driving a brand new 2016 CTS while my ATS is having its recall work done and oil changed/tires rotated. I'm planning on writing up a "GMI Drives" piece, so fire off any questions you have about it, and I'll try my best to answer them now, or incorporate the answers in the piece.

I will say, I'm not impressed with the overall build quality and fit & finish so far. When I picked the car up, it had 19 miles on it, and on the drive home, I heard two rattles, and the steering wheel feels lumpy and has a jarring bubble on the left hand side of where your hands would rest while driving.

Any specific questions about the car?

I await the whole review. Which model is it? The 2.0 liter?

I'm not sure how GM does quality control on their cars, but a few months ago I got a shuttle ride in a 2015 Escalade and on top of the dash where 2 panels were supposed to meet instead they were so far apart that I could see the electronics inside, the gap was approx. 2 fingers widths apart. I asked the driver how many km's on this car and he said it was just put into service.

Question: Why are you hanging with Caddys after all the trouble you've had, and the quality issue you mentioned and that majicbz mentions?

Have you considered other brands or lines? Or are you Caddy4Life? Ask Diego to allow you to change your screen name.

Besides the new tranny is there anything else worth talking about that we haven't already talked about. Would be nice if you were in the new 3.6 at least.

Can you go into detail on engine noise, vibration, and harshness?

    I'm also curious about CUE.

What's needed is to have Elli and De Ny talk about how quality of components/fit and finish will be enhanced by 2020 or 2025 . This should be good for several paragraphs and a photo op , mind you , would they do their talking from New York or do they ever get to inspect and check or drive any of the products going out the factory doors ?? I still remember reading of the owner and creator of Honda , who would drive his Accord to the factory , put on a pair of coveralls and spend quality time on the factory floor . What has happened to these innovators , these men of vision and talent in the automotive manufacturing industry ? Replaced by bean counters , hot trendy designers/fashions and sales pros , perhaps ?

I drove an ATS 2.0T as a loaner while my wife's SRX was in for a recall. Really liked it. I would like to know if the CTS feels noticeably heavier.

The quality is probably still better than the C300 I rode home on New Years. That thing had more rattles than a 90's Cavalier.
