    Dealer inventory on cars.com.

You can click on 'Style' on the left side to filter by engine/trim. You can also filter by number of cylinders. 80% are 4-cyls.

    3.6TT - 3%

    ATS:

    2.5L - 30%

    3.6L - 6%

The 3% figure for the V-Sport looks a little less surprising if you consider that 3.6L is relatively rare already.
Part of the problem is that the V-6 doesn't offer much of an improvement, not like stepping up to the 3.0L engines some Europeans offer. As for the Vsport, AWD would help some, but even that isn't going to triple or quadruple sales to numbers that are more ideal.

Are U even serious using that as a primary gauge of what's on the road???

I'd be happy to look at a different source, if you have one.

But in the absence of that, it seems reasonable to assume that the dealer inventory mix is going to be pretty close to the actual sales mix. I've tried to confirm that as well, by comparing the GM-published V8 take rate for the Camaro to the engine mix listed on cars.com, and it's almost dead on.

So like i said ..before...if Cadillac want to sell a car (CT6) that cost 140 00$ it will have to offer much more than what competition has.So it will have to be some freaking fantastic vehicle if it will cost that much.
It's not just the material aspect of the car. It's more than just the leather quality, wood quality, options, performance.
At this level, you need to sell the intangibles.

What can a $140,000 Cadillac offer to a luxury car buyer that can't be matched or exceeded by the Germans or British or Italians?

Tesla was able to answer this question in one way. How will Cadillac answer it?

And the 2.0 being so similar (and in my opinion better than) to the 3.6 is probably what's skewing numbers towards the 2.0.

If I got a CTS, it would almost definitely be the 2.0, because screw the 6 and the Vsport is only RWD.

Does break down different by me:
    2.0T : 55%
    3.6 : 39%
    3.6TT : 6%

There are 8 models of the 2.0T, 6 of the 3.6 and only 2 V-Sports. I agree that AWD available on the V-Sport would likely double it's take rate.

the CT8 could have the same beltline as the Buick Avneir concept......that the beltline is straight but curves up at the vary rear...... LOOK AT THE BUICK AVENIR CONCEPT..... and look at the CT6..... they have different beltlines.....ether the CT8 would have and Buick Avenir or a Elmeraj beltline.......assuming the CT6 has the same beltline as the CTS....maybe the CT8 could take a different turn in design.

One, the CT6 is gonna' work out real good - in China.

Two, in the US and Canada.... good chance in a real nice to have way it's gonna' impact above and below it's own pricing bandwidth - and or the sweet spots within it.

Given all the trends ... I suppose one might be tempted to 'CYA' by adding - in a relative way for certain and in absolute terms - we shall see.

They get the Leasing right - and KABOOM.

And then..... good opportunity for more of the same from the logical expansions in Year Two, Three, and Four.

The real question in the US / Canada with ATS / CTS is about which Trims besides perhaps ..... the bottom two ( Standard and Luxury ) are pulling down what kind of numbers versus intended.

Hopefully, among other things... CT6 can take enough of the load that ATS / CTS Trims and related can be.... shall we say 'rejiggered'.......... more than a bit.

Thank you. Those are the official numbers, I take it?

Is there any chance to get 2015 only?
