    Buick Regals

I was at the dealer, and they have the new Regal Sportback and TourX in stock.

I've always liked how they place the old and new next to each other.

That TourX actually looks all right even with the cladding.

It does look really good in person.

I can see why Buick is so bullish on the car.

I noticed last week one day that they had a Regal Sportback sitting on the lot at our dealer. I think today would be good to see if it's still around and check it out. I like the real life pictures of it posted here because they just seem to do it more justice than the GM versions and other media does.

    Hmmm, very interestink.

I prefer the older car's (dark car?) front end over the new one. New one at first glance looks like a combo of Acura and Mazda6. The older one says Buick Buick Buick. Which is not a disparaging comment BTW.

Also the older car's wheels are more handsomer, yes we can. Look a lot like somebody stole a set of KIA Forte5 SX wheels...

I'll swing by the local Buick salon and see what's on their lot today.

The base halogen light setup looks pretty frumpy. Not loving those wheels on the Sportback, either.

I'm interested in trying the GS. The Genesis G70 is close to dropping as well, which might give Buick a run for their money for people OK with a trunk.

IMHO the new one looks a LOT "meaner" IMHO more "BMW" LESS "LINCOLN" in its "expression"

the white tourX LOOKS "cheap" to me with the cladding and wheels etc

but LIKE the new Wrangler it is nice to see the announcement and dealer time shrinking

I'm wondering if the new Buick is a base model and the last gen is a higher end based on the wheels. Edit: I just went to Buick.com and those are the bottom end rims, the higher level have much nicer wheels.

bear in mind that the old one (dark) was designed to be on the market back in late 2008 as Opel Insignia. The new one still does not stand out as the old one.

You and EJD1984 inspired me to do the same.

Here's a silver Regal Sportback Preferred at my local Buick place, Landers Buick GMC in Southaven, Mississippi:

Minor point here, but I like the amber reflectors integrated into the headlight assembly like the old one.

Landers? Wow, they're big. I bought a few cars from them in Little Rock.

Steve Landers' dealership group in Arkansas and Oklahoma is big indeed! I think his Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram stores in Little Rock and Norman rank in the top five among all FCA US dealerships in the U.S. for new car retail sales, and his Toyota stores in Little Rock and Rogers likewise are among the highest volume in the entire US as well.

I think the Landers dealership group in Memphis and Northern Mississippi was founded by a different Mr. Landers, but I could be wrong. They are well known in metro Memphis though - Landers Ford in Collierville and Landers Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Southaven are the highest volume dealerships for the respective brands in greater Memphis.

Landers purchased naming rights to the arena here in Southaven and usually has some vehicles from its dealerships parked in front of the facility. The Mississippi RiverKings hockey team (SPHL) plays here.
