    2.0T would be nice.

I had one as a rental once, it was decent for what it is. But yes, biggest fault I had with it is the low rent arm rest. Certainly the 2.0T should be an option. I wonder if the chassis is robust enough to accommodate the bigger engine/more power?

The 2.0T is probably asking too much of GM to offer, but at least the 1.5T should be an option. I was going to say 1.6 as I thought it was the same SGE family but apparently not, 1.5 is as big as it gets and should be a simple drop in over the 1.4.

I thought about an Encore several years ago, but the closeness of the front buckets was a bigger minus than the slowness.

I'm pretty sure the car recently identified as a GMC Granite is a Buick a size larger than Encore. Envision seems to be a bust, so that will almost replace it until it's vastly improved.

I saw a Mercedes GLA yesterday. That could be the future for small premium sedans--a little taller than today with back end shaped between a CUV coupe and normal CUV.

    Re: 2020 Buick Encore

The Encore was one of my least favorite GM products until the 2017 makeover. It was pretty significant in my eyes and it definitely helps it look less like a potato. I want GM to add more power, increase the width a tad and give it more storage.

It's a Buick alright, the grille gives it away. I do hope they rectify that scrawny armrest and give it a proper console as well. That along with it's mediocre (IMO) AWD system are the reasons I'm not in one today.
