    What's the Astra Aftermarket Like?

So let's say I bite the bullet of practicality, and end up with an Astra XR Wagon. It's obviously got the janky engine that I'd want to give more pep. How hard would it be? I know it's not going to be as easy as doing it to a Cobalt or Civic, but it shouldn't be harder than my S-Series, right?

The "five door." To me it's a wagon.

    Advanced Astra Knowledge

    Astra hatchback:

    Astra Caravan (wagon / estate):

Both are practical and you should get one, especially if you can talk the dealer into a sweet deal.

I thought you couldn't talk Saturn dealers into a sweet deal, because of the no-haggle pricing?

Re: What's the Astra Aftermarket Like?

You can haggle on trade-ins for sure, and in the current market, I am sure they have options to entice you, even if they are OTC (not quite negotiable). This was a figure of speech... Anyway, if it fits your budget, buy one.

PS. Saturn website says it's $2000 off with Red Tag sale (XR 5-door starts at $16K)

Btw I own a 2006 hatch and my sister owns a 2006 wagon.
Both continue to be excellent cars.

It would seem like most every other country in the world would have demand for Astra aftermarket parts because to my knowledge it's a really good seller aside from the US market but you have to deal with the variety of engines offered in it

I thought since the Opel's already been around for 4 years that you could basically just order a bunch of stuff from Europe instead of waiting for domestic mods to pop-up?

I saw a Tarbo'd Saturn Astra on Youtube already.

You could always wait until some punk totals out his Cobalt SS and pull the engine from it for a swap.

Saturn is no haggle pricing? Didn't know that, no wonder the sticker price of these cars keeps coming up...
