Hey Saturn! Thanks for ****ing nothing!

I'm super pissed about this, its minor, but I'm pissed and customers are pissed.

Thanks for telling us dealers that you deleted the storage box underneath the passenger seat. I showed an 08 VUE early build with it, delivered a newer 08 VUE last night to the same customer and now I'm fielding her calls that the box is not under the seat. Sure enough a few late builds on the lot don't have it.

I appreciate it, now I'm facing a possible buy back because no one informed us of further cost cutting. Can I bill Saturn for the cost of their buy back program?

    This is dumb.

What communication tools are in place for dealers to inform Saturn's/GM's executives about your frustration and the customers' dissatisfaction? I know there are GM's famous customer surveys but how else can you go about letting the company know how this is affecting both salespeople and customers?

No way you're shocked! Its from the same company who still hasnt told the buying public that they are not leasing anymore! Letting the dealers listen to all the bitching from their soon-to-be-former customers.

Can you retrofit the part from the earlier builds??

GM's decontenting is nothing new. But doing it so soon in a model's run is alarming.

People who wait for the first year bugs to be worked out are "rewarded" with a watered-down version.

It's almost like GM is building cars to impress the industry and get the awards in their first year, and then as soon as get them they then pull the car back into mediocrity.

I don't get GM sometimes. Is it cheaper? Yea, but they're deleting dumb things. Are they trivial? Kinda, but still dumb things. No storage bins, no glovebox lights, come on...

Twas it left out in a factor fubar, or are all of your '08 Vues after the VIN# I posted above missing that compartment?

The parts catalog shows the 08 2nd design numbers for 2009 MY...
I have not been able to go out and check VINs, but the few 09's on the lot don't have it and some of the late build 08's do not have it.

BTW, the vehicle delivered yesterday ends with 757 on the VIN.

Exactly! They're not cutting in the right places and it'll hurt them in the longrun!

I can understand it only if it was a different model year. No way should GM cut something mid-year though. You and the owner have every right to be pissed!

I thought the storage box was only available on certain trim levels??

Edit: According to the Online Order Guide they are only available on the XR and Redline.

First the spare tire being deleted (additional dealer option) on the Outlook now a stupid plastic drawer is removed on the Vue? I'd love to see what else GM has "cost cut" that the customer can't see, that scares me the most. These little things are enough to make me buy something else when my lease is up in a few months. I think moving away from Saturn (I've had 2 in the last 12 years) will be bittersweet, but it's not the same company I dealt with in the 90's. Count me in as a new Subaru customer

Hmm, funny that you should say you're going to buy Subaru in your post #1,666
