Going through some NHTSA complaints about the headlights and stumbled on this gem from January 27 of this year:
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS HAVING AN ELECTRICAL SWITCH MALFUNCTION, WHICH AFFECTED THE TURN SIGNALS AND HEADLIGHTS. WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH WAS ACTIVATED, THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF, THE HEADLIGHTS AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED, FORCING THE CONTACT TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
