I always loved these! Too bad they only made about 1377.
I wish they all could be California squirrels!
Past Rides: 2003 Grand Am GT1 (saved me), 1995 Bonneville SLE (RIP), 1986 635 CSi, 1984 Estate Wagon, 1978 Malibu Classic, 1978 Corvette, 1975 Vega Kammback (Miss ya'), 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger (STFU...it got me there!)

I always liked the Le Mans and I think these were the icing on the cake.

I liked these. I read Jim Wangers book years ago and he mentioned Pontiac brass was very reluctant to allow these to be built. I believe they were upset that they were cannibalizing Grand Prix dash boards since the Grand Prix was selling like hot cakes. I think something happened with the mold for one of the parts which ended up killing the program. I can't remember which part it was though.

The poor man's version of this car (I'm sure the dealers were all too happy to mark these up well beyond sticker) were the '77 LeMans GT. Unfortunately you could only get the Pontiac 350 with it but it had the looks with some cool GT graphics.

    1968 Buick Skylark (Buick 350/4)
    1972 Chevrolet Corvette (350 LT-1)
2001 Chevrolet Tahoe LS (5.3 liter)
    1983 Chevrolet C/10 Silverado (350 Goodwrench)

    Former: 1989 GMC Suburban R1500 (5.7 liter)
1969 Buick Skylark Custom (Buick 350/2)
    1971 Buick Riviera (Buick 455)
    1971 Buick Electra 225 (Buick 455)

Without Buick, GM never would have existed.

It was the rear spoiler issues that limited production.
