    107,000 miles on the Solstice

Greetings...I haven't posted for a while. But I've been busy...I have 107,500 miles now on the 2007 GXP!

When I had 98,000 miles I told the car, "Car, your warranty runs out in 2,000 miles...so anything that is going to go wrong needs to do so before 100,000."

And, being the good girl she is, she threw a check engine light a couple days later. I took her in to the dealer, they disgnosed the issue (MAF sensor), and the parts were on backorder for a couple months. So, I just got the final warranty fix at 106,500.

Love this car! 30 + MPG and goes like a bat out of hell when floored. GM did a great job with this one...I wish there was a second generation I could be considering now, but since that isn't in the cards, here's to the next 100,000 on the one I have now!

While I haven't any idea if you are the original owner of that Javelin, I have no doubt you'll keep the GXP in great shape considering your taste of vehicles. Best of luck to the next 100,000!

On a side note... you must drive A LOT! I thought I had a lot of miles on our 2007 TrailBlazer as we just hit 98k.. You've got me beat by nearly 10k for the same model year! And the Solstice isn't nearly as "versatile" as a SUV!

Good to hear the GXP has been serving you well. What a beautiful and fun sports car. You are making the right decision in heading off and enjoying it for another 100k miles.

I remember driving the solstice GXP and admiring how much fun it was to drive.

thanks for sharing and good to know its so much fun as well as so reliable.

It's too bad GM didn't shut down Subaru instead of Pontiac.

I'm going to enter my Monte Carlo in this pissing contest.

    181,500 miles on a 2005 model.

I challenge someone to do better, lol.

It sounds like TC has a well behaved car.

On the plus side, there are tons of low mileage Solstice for sale, and for relatively little money as well, if you were ever looking for another one, I don't think you'd have a difficult time finding one.

Great job though on the Solstice. I love the look of those cars.

I'm just glad to find out that there are people out there that drive more than I do!
I will say that my commute involves 50% in epic rush hour traffic, which is a very hard way for the car to get miles on the odometer, and 50% at highway speeds. But regardless...hats off to all of us who are in the "drive a whole lot" club.

I'm almost at 390 miles on my '09 Solstice GXP Coupe... It's my weekend fun ride, but I've been busy most weekends, and now it's once again hibernating in the garage until May. On the other hand, my '04 Saturn ION 3 dd just hit 106,000... and has never given me a lick of trouble...

Beautiful...beautiful sports car! I always have fond memories of my test drive of the soltice GXP...still my suggestion stands that using the vehicle and having fun with it ....is more important then keeping it pristine..

Next spring when you roll it out..try and do it as often as possible...

both the GXP coupe and convertible are awesome rides.
