Certified car nut...ask me, I've probably owned it, driven it, sold it...or thought about it...
Woah, that was quick! Thanks caddycruiser.

Jury still out on this?
Caddycruiser: you described a base model and a couple options that would put it in the 1/SV or 1/SA category, but how does one distinguish between the two?
I'm leaning towards the "1/SA*LtdAvail*" because it's the 2009.5 with the updated front facia and center stack, however I'd really like to be sure and I've found nothing official anywhere (yet) to help me pin this down.
Seems like the kind of information a buyer would like to know, esp with the demise of the brand.
Thanks in advance for the discussion.

After spending quite a bit of time on the online auto configuration sites like NADA, Edmunds, Truecar, etc... I think I've found some information that helps me to make a somewhat educated assumption on which particular model I have...
So, for whoever may be interested, here's my findings.
What I knew: 2009.5 G6 4dr SEDAN
What I didn't know: (1SV) (1SB) (1SA*LtdAvail*)
When you try to build a 2009 G6 online here's the engine options I found for each:
1SV - 2.4L (LE5) ONLY
1SA*LtdAvail* - 2.4L (LE5) or 3.5L (LZ4)
1SB - 2.4L (LE5) or 3.5L (LZ4) or 3.5L E85Flexfuel (LZE)
Verdict: Since my car is a flexfuel vehicle I can only assume that the particular configuration is a 2009 G6 Sedan w/1SB.
The base invoice for the 1SB is ~$650 higher than the 1SA. Assuming no other differences, is it realistic to assume that accounts for the price difference in the engine???
The SV in "1SV" is "Special Value" - the de-contented value leader sedan. I assume 1SA/1SB is another equipment package. They may have changed from 1SA to 1SB for the 2009.5 G6 leading to the "limited availability" of the 1SA package (only out there on existing 2009 models)? I believe that Flexfuel capability was new for the 2009.5 model.
give me your VIN and I'll find out exactly what it is.
It's a 1SB. Was that the question?
