Living the dream! I get to wake up and work at the Heritage Center

It's been a while but I had to come and post about this...

While I take the long and expensive way in finding the right career, I have to complete a 135 hour practicum (internship) at an archival institution as part of my Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University of Detroit. You have to fill out an application with a few places (in order of preference) for institutions you'd like to be at. I interpreted what they said about it as being "Pick where you want to be, and we'll make sure you get in there." So I shot for the stars and put down the GM Heritage Center of Sterling Heights and I got the placement! I've been working on digitizing (scanning) some paper materials, including GM World magazine and I'll later be working with a GM Canada collection. So it isn't like I get to hang out with the cars in the collection all day. But it's pretty awesome nevertheless.

I'm trying to take a selfie every day I'm there (I got permission to take photos and post to social media). Here's me with the Avista concept.

    You suck.
When you get some time, please track down XP-75. A fully functional '59 Buick 'Skylark' 2-seater, it was still hanging around at least as late as '67. While that's a long time ago- it survived the Bill Mitchell-directed concepts partial purge, and the short lifespans many of the '60s show cars.

Not familiar with that concept. The XP-75 wasn't a 2-seater. It was similar to the 2-door Electra or Invicta, but with more subtle fins. Perhaps you are thinking of the Wildcat concepts?
