^^ It's worth some bench racing time, like, fershur!

How many here have run the ring in the last 20 years, in their daily driver? I'll wait for an answer.
I would be willing to bet that none have ever, nor would ever drive one of these cars at the ring. That's my point also. But, given a choice, which we clearly are here, I prefer the one that does it all quite well or at the least, does not rattle your teeth loose on regular roads where it will be driven, yet not only feels at home on a local track, but can dominate it. Oh, and I need it to be loud and brash. Nobody buys these to be low key.

Once you drive a car like that it becomes obvious that traction is a major variable.

They all pull over 1g which is super car territory a short time ago. Certainly all above your driving capabilities and definitely a death wish on public roads. No one buys these cars to put on a road course no matter what you are led to believe. Burning through $1500 in tires every weekend gets old even for rich people. That’s why you see Miatas and the like at most tracks and parking lot courses.

For sure, but even with cold weather, I did not see the Mustang struggling much.

The Mustang probably doesn't have as much torque down low and with traction control on it's hard to tell how much power one system is pulling compared to another.

There are stock Scat Packs that have run as fast as some of these magazine drivers do with the Hellcat so it will be interesting to see what the GT500 will do in the hands of an owner who experiments to get the most out of it.

There was a Demon that just ran a 9.55 completely stock a week ago and that has the same basic hp as a Redeye so until we see the Camaro and Mustang on the strip with an experienced driver we don't really know much.
