I was not a fan when the design premiered, but it has really grown on me. It would be cool if GM did a performance pack. I think the RS Package they had only came with the 1.5L. The 2.0T plus the RS Package would make a good combo.

At the end of the day you still own a Ford and Mother Mary isn't pleased with you.

As for unions, when your cost structure is higher than your competitions', you have to recoup that cost somewhere. Shortcomings can be blamed on unions. IF the Malibu falls short in something like interior quality, it's likely because you have to make up for higher labor costs. Match a higher quality interior part for part and you can't sell the car at a competitive cost. Yell all you want about "bean counters," but you have to make money.
This is GM's answer to the 2013 Ford Fusion, that came out a full 86 months ago...................

But you're right about the 6. That's really a very nice looking car. That "real person" in the Chevy ads that would pay $70K for a Malibu would cough up $100K easy for the 6.
Except, the "Real Person" in this story bought a Ford Fusion!

Funny but I always thought the Malibu in it's current guise, and before this new refresh, reminded me of a Catfish

Mother would be very happy if she let me put in a few thoughts about how she runs her 'technology' company

Not after you betrayed her by buying that Ford instead of a more expensive Chevy.

You could try leaving an apology note on her Mercedes.

Well not a Fusion but the Accord is very nice to look at imo, same with the new Arteon from VW both are very Audi-ish imo. Both models i would look at well before any Malibu or Fusion though both might be a little more on the price side then the two american makes but your getting more car imo then what the two rental type models from ford or chevy offer.

This last fusion facelift (2019) ruined the car. The Arteon is pretty freaking sweet tho and comes off as a poor man's Model S.

The Mazda 6 is the best looking one out the bunch, IMO. Especially in that candy apple red, extra cost color. Of all the tests I've read on it, it gets very good reviews across the board. I believe it's not as expensive as the Malibu Premier either.

It isn't as expensive as the Premier...I ended up with a 2019 Soul Red grand touring reserve 6 for 28k...heated/cooled front seats w/ heated rear seats, HUD, adaptive cruise and a few other bells and whistles. Not to mention the stunning red paint and sexy styling.

Or Camry SE trim and sales numbers support that. GM (and Ford) lost the battle on sedan market and lost me too, just got new Civic Touring (made in Canada) in Aegean blue. I am done with GM.
