During today's GM Tweet Up event news came out that production of the 2010 GMC Terrain started today. While this news is minimal in comparison to the slew of product news and tid-bits out of GM Design today thanks to 100 consumers getting to see GM's entire future product portfolio, this is welcomed news for Terrain fans.
Terrain will be launching with two direct-injected engines. The first being an ECOTEC 2.4L with 182 HP, good for a coveted 32 MPG on the highway and a 3.0L High-Feature V6 with 255 HP. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic. In addition, Terrain features Bluetooth, XM NavTraffic, navigation, Pioneer sound system and more gadgets.
The Terrain is produced alongside the recently-launch 2010 Chevrolet Equinox at the CAMI Automotive plant in Ingresoll, Ontario. GM says you can expect to start seeing Terrains show up in dealerships within 2-3 weeks.
