GM walked away from a ton of positive brand equity when they dropped the well respected ENVOY moniker.

My guess is that this is to go along with the Blazer and newly discovered Enspire trademark.

Great, more FWD garbage to ruin a vehicle that can become a proper Grand Cherokee fighter that GM needs.

    Yawn.

    2016 Cadillac CTS4 2.0T Performance

    2006 GMC Envoy SLT 4x4

    Re: GM Trademarks Envoy

I dont understand GM, Why not Make use of the CTS platform?. Use that as a Chevy "Impala" RWD Sedan, moving the CTS up as it was when its current Generation came out (priced high because the Impala would had covered the mainstream market). Using that same platform for a Camaro (with a possible Cadillac Coupe) so it could be as roomy/ergonomic as a Challenger. Again using that same platform to spawn a SUV architecture for a REAL Blazer/Envoy and Baby Escalade (XT6) instead of this FWD mess?? So you'll have....

    Impala
    CTS
    Camaro
    Cadillac Coupe
    Envoy
    Blazer
    XT6

    all under One main Platform

Acadia name sticks for the 3 row version....Envoy becomes the 2 row version?

That's what the Acadia was. If that was the plan, the Acadia should have stayed that size and the current Acadia should have been called Envoy.

Or, maybe this is the BoF SUV that is supposedly planned for GMC.

    Or this, yes!

I'll go out on a limb and say it is some sort of "utility".

I wonder if there is an Envoy would the hint telling us something "BIG" for GMC is coming!; would be as lackluster and ridiculous as the Blazer's was?

Man...15 years ago I could tell you with a straight face GM could do no wrong......now?.......
