Agreed...it definitely doesn't need to look like that, all it needs to do is give us a viable alternative to the 4Runner, not try to one up Ford's Bronco. Notice I didn't say Explorer/Aviator or a Cadillac variant as I'm thinking it'll be too trucklike in ride quality to be applicable in a Cadillac.

    Ugh.
Pony Car: an affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image and an available V8.

Well, A Cadillac version might have a very different suspension set up than the GMC offroad version, especially if its set up for onroad cruising not offroad application.

GM could never, like ever resist having a Chevrolet and Cadillac version of something like this. If they did, I would be very impressed.

I'll wait 'til the real official news comes out or maybe spy photos instead of this butchered thing shown here and C&D here say.

Seriously - this would never sell.

Make it look like a Jeep or a Hummer. That will sell.

I like the basics of the design but it needs to be more "off-roadish" and aggressive. I don't hate it as much as most people on this thread though.
Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes not divine, but demonic.

It's a blocky design that looks as if it were trying to draw heavily from a heritage it doesn't have.

Not going to read into the magazine photoshop at all, just like I'm not going to pay much attention to any speculation about any future GM products unless I see a test mule in the wild. Easier to just assume they won't make it rather than be hopeful. Though it would be great if they did come out with a proper Jimmy, just not gonna hold my breath. Is it going to be electric then?

Why are you rolling your eyes, are you assuming you are the only one curious enough to wait for the mules?

If they're not smuggling Cocaine into the country mules, I don't care.

As for that rendering it looks like C&D took a Jeep and GMC'ed it. Looks terrible and they should be ashamed.
