Pratt & Miller Racing Unlucky in Long Beach

Both Pratt & Miller teams forgot to knock on wood and cross their fingers ahead of the massive weekend of racing on the streets of Long Beach.

A rare treat for North American sports car fans as both the IMSA and Pirelli World Challenge paddocks converged this weekend.

    Check out the crazyness

There is history and probably no love lost between Corvette racing teams and Porsche racing teams......

The finish some years ago between the C6R GT2 race car and Porsche 911 race car where the Porsche puts the Corvette into the wall right before the finish line......

'Lucky'? Chevrolet has the best car out there. They had fueling speed penalty and additional weight, and were in the lead when Porsche crashed them out of the race in a pre-meditated move from team orders.

Yea there is a little bad blood there. I remember when Pontiac had some really bad blood with BMW. This was the end result:

The only solution for this problem is for Chevrolet or Cadillac to go into LMP1 and finish both Porsche and Audi off. Seriously.

Stupid to penalize a superior car with weight and other such penalties. If the competition is so superior, (I'm talking about you Porshe and BMW) design a car that can compete with the Corvette. Why drag the Corvettes performance down to these morons?

That's not what is happening. They adjust the performance of ALL cars using weight/aero limitations and air restrictors. Nobody gets to do what they want.

It's how GT racing works, and it cuts both ways. At Le Mans for example the Corvettes were allowed to run bigger air restrictors to make up for their 2-valve heads.

Typical Porsche. Take out the corvette when necessary. They've done that plenty of times. Don't ever hear of those teams getting penalized. They should take points away from them. God forbid team corvette did that they'd be crying a river. us suck they're getting their asses to the by an American car company.

Corvette does it to themselves by sticking with IMSA. At the end of the day, they should call it off

And move to where ?? They need to stay in FIA GT racing.....IMSA and WEC. It still is the most effective image/brand way of promoting the GM cars. I really hate the obvious "unsportmanlike" driving associated to Porsche in FIA races for years but remember THEY can't stand USA enteries smoking them at Lemans et.al. And they are not the only ones....remember the Peugot GTPs nerfing the Corvette GT2 several times at Lemans. And they never got over the Corvette GT1 cars out accelerating the GTP's on the Mulsanne.

One thing we could do, is enter two teams [4 cars] at FIA/WEC races....like Callaway GT3 teams are about to do in Europe. And that would put a few more USA drivers in GM cars too. Where is AJ Foyt and Parnelli Jones when we need them ??

Something has to be done about the obvious cheating.
