*Full Article at LinkThe Astra OPC will use a turbocharged four-cylinder engine tuned to make 300 horsepower, an increase of about 20 ponies over the current model. The turbo four will most likely be offered with either a manual or an automatic transmission, but front-wheel drive will be the only configuration available.
The two-door Astra hatchback -- which has been re-named simply GTC for the latest model year -- won't be replaced, so the next-gen OPC will land as a four-door hatchback. German magazine Auto Bild believes a station wagon variant aimed at families in a hurry will be added to the lineup a little later in the production run.
