Europe doesn't want/need 3-door compact hatchbacks in the mainstream sector any more, not on the ordinary versions and not on the hot versions.

Shouldn't be difficult for Buick to include a 3-door when they use the Astra as the basis for the next Verano.

It'll be difficult considering Buick is in the import business now so if Opel doesn't make it, no one will.

Not a bad-looking car, but somehow it looks like an older car, a car that was designed maybe 10 years ago, and that Opel/Vauxhall decided to bring into production... hoping that nobody will notice. In other words, the outgoing model looks more modern. Ouch?

If they couldn't make the case before to import an existing car (the GTC), I'm afraid the chances of a unique-for-Buick Verano coupe are zero. Especially since no one in China drives small coupes.

In other words, there's insufficient demand globally for GM to justify a compact coupe - no surprise there. It used to be very different but times change, GM has to keep up.

Alarming that a car that's supposed to be global (Opel-Vauxhall-Buick) doesn't incite any more comments...

And that in it self speaks volumes about it's tepid design. I don't think this would do any better as a Buick as the last Astra did as a Saturn.

Why does it have that cheap "floating roof" gimmick?! That is one of the worst design gimmicks to me that seems to be sadly proliferating itself across all makes of automobiles.
