Looks the same in person as it does in pics (there's one at a local dealer near me). I'm not impressed by it,guess I'm just not classy enough to appreciate the fine details of Cadillac's 2nd flagship.

I think it is more about the fact you disliked it from day one, and nothing that makes it look favorable is going to move you away from that position. You don’t like it, fine, but can you at least concede that there will be many people for which the XT6 will tick all of the boxes? My sister is almost certainly going to get one to replace her Escalade.

Cadillac is in the business of shifting metal, for maximum ROI. If this sells in respectable numbers, (and it will) then it’s mission accomplished.

I think it's fairly obvious why GM doesn't want the magazines to get their hands on the XT6, or at least delay the inevitable as long as possible...

Do you buy into most conspiracy theories, or just UFO coverups and XT6 ones?

I'd like to see GM put the 2.7 turbo 4 in this like they're gonna do with the CT-4.

That’s assuming that it’s been engineered for FWD transverse applications.

Take that engine and make a hybrid variant. That could be very competitive.

Apparently, official press fleet vehicles are becoming available shortly. Not at all unusual for a small YouTube channel with local dealer connections to get their hands on one first.

I've tried looking at it through my GMfanboi glasses and I still don't like it.

Yes, I agree with you there will many people that the XT-6 will tick all of the boxes for/of and just because the masses do still doesn't mean it's a great product.

Then again I guess in the selling autos for a living it does.....

Do you honestly think GM will be pleased when the Aviator v. XT6 direct comparisons start taking place? The XT6 will be on the losing end.

    .

Get back to me when the sales figures for a few months comes out. That’s what counts, not what people on various forums or Car and Driver comparisons say. The average person doesn’t read car forums or even read Car and Driver/Road & Track/Motor Trend reviews/comparisons.

Apart from not having optional higher powered versions, it would appear that in most of the other metrics XT6 is competitive with the competition. I find the Aviator interior to be overly busy, whereas to my eyes the XT6 interior looks less fussy and is more harmonious. Also, aren’t the top Aviator models considerably more money than the XT6? The Average XT6 will probably go for $60K, and they’ll sell pretty well is my guess.

I agree. After reading your post I opened up two more windows on my computer and got the Lincoln and Cadillac up side by side from each web site and the scrolled through all the shots of each. The Aviator interior pales in comparison on that aspect.

Perhaps there's a press embargo or something of the sort that precludes the "big names" in automotive journalism from posting their XT6 reviews. Don't know why, because production XT6 vehicles have already arrived at Cadillac dealerships throughout the U.S.

Anyway, this may be a good opportunity for GMI members to visit their local Cadillac dealerships and post their own XT6 test drive reviews before the "big names" do.

Precisely, and most of those women will go to the showroom because they saw XT6 on the road or at the car wash and were intrigued by it. They’re not going there based on what Car and Driver said, good or bad about XT6. People totally under rate the power and the allure of a totally new and attractive vehicle at the car wash, with all of its doors open.
