I see this vehicle as being precisely one of three Cadillac still needs to fill voids in their line-up. Just for the hell of it they should figure out how to appease the enthusiasts with a RWD based small CUV and a RWD based Large. They of course will find issue with a deeply hidden plastic map pocket and still not buy, but at least Cadillac will have had it available.

    Anyway. Nice exterior. Nice Interior

We are in the minority, as I also really like XT6 for what it is, rather than disliking it for what it not. It's handsome with a really nice interior, and will probably undercut the Aviator msrp by a good amount. No doubt a V Series and Platinum version will arrive in due course along with more power.

The front on the Sport in that picture is imo stylistically superior to the bug eyed, derivative Aviator. Some might call it bland, but it's a grower in my estimation.

XT6’s mission is to make money. It looks just fine...no more or less exciting than top seller XT5. It’s not meant to set hearts on fire...it’s here to pay the bills and hopefully enable top knotch engineeered future cars.

And so SC is available huh? I fully expect all those whining about the lack of SC will promptly place their order for a new XT6 :b

Lmfao! Bug eyed! Great description of that front on aviator and the rear! .....plain as white bread. However, side profile is pretty good

Pleasant surprise! Very odd again, much like the CT6 not being cancelled. I know I read over the past few weeks that GM said supercruise isn't ready yet, but now it somehow is ready.

To the above Aviator vs. XT6, I looked at pictures of both, the looks of both are so different that I think both will do just fine. The Aviator is very blingy looking to the point I'd not buy it while the XT6 looks much more understated. Never thought I'd say Cadillac's A&S looks understated, but the Cadillac lineup has a classiness to it that crept up on me, maybe I'm only noticing now as I compare it to the over-blinged Aviator (to my eyes).

Funny to me the Aviator interior seems very German with some 1970's American thrown in (and the outside definitely has Euro rip off styling), where Cadillac seems uniquely American inside and out. Yet Cadillac gets beaten up for being "German" and not a comment about the Aviator being too European.

I read it as "in the spring of 2020". Like I said, I was surprised! Only 3 years after the Acadia, sound so much better!

This view makes it look very distinctive to me. The low cowl and upright greenhouse. The front looks more sedan-like than the usual brick-like SUV. The way the roof comes down low on the windshield makes the car look lower to the ground.

I'm growing to appreciate it, though the profile still seems bland to me. I was looking at the profile, take away the rear window upsweep and make it a straight line and I can see a lot of first gen SRX.

I need to see it in real life! Where will I see it first - NY Auto Show or will it be on dealer lots by then?

They are suppose to be adding new features like the ability to change lanes so I’d guess its ready Date could be different than the launch date.

Over the years, I have come to realize that you cannot appreciate a design until you see it in person. Case in point, the Navigator turned out to be an Expedition with an MKZ nose. Very unimpressive on the outside.

What about the XT6 looks American? The design was specifically softened for the Chinese market, and their new crossover strategy is the "same look, different price" thing that Germans do.

How though? XT5 Starts at 41K. Even at 49K the Base Aviator would seem like a Better buy because "400hp" is Standard.

The whole CT6 is cancelled-not cancelled/ XT6 ‘No Supercruise at launch’ ‘The XT6 will have Supercruise at launch’ does make Mary and Co look like bumbling idiots! Their communication skills are seriously lacking.

If/when the XT6 gets V Series and full Platinum versions, both with 400HP plus, then I think the whole range will find no shortage of buyers. It just reeks of class to my eyes. Handsome and conservative never hurt the Range Rover. I’m curious as to why XT4 has available massage seats and XT6 doesn’t. Perhaps this is a hint that a Platinum trim is definitely happening?

One of our informed members told me XT6 was supposed to be launched a year after Acadia/XT5 but it got delayed for various reasons. Both Acadia and XT5 will have refreshes shortly. Btw Acadia and XT6 may share the 112.7” Wheelbase, but the track on XT6 is almost 2” wider front and back. Also XT6 is iirc 5.4” longer than the Acadia which is considerable. Where the heck they put those extra inches is hard to say without seeing the two vehicles together. Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is, that XT6 is a lot more than an Acadia with different sheet metal.

Aviator is obviously a handsome vehicle, but the front (Jaguar derivative) isn’t that hot, and the flanks are such a rip off of Range Rover styling cues they should send Royalty checks to JLR. I like the long wheelbase but it’s longer than I would like XT6 to have. 115-116 would have been perfect. The Wider track on the XT6 will help it pull off it’s shortish 112.7” WB relative to it’s almost 199” length.

Did they say if these are full production ready pilot build, or actual cars that will make it to the showroom? If they’re not verification vehicles, then XT6 may be in the showrooms in late spring rather than early summer.
