But this calendar only includes the introduction of completely new models and the next generation of the Escalade.
Cadillac has said that to get the most out of the current investment and fill as many gaps as possible, all of your next vehicles will have a unique size. Said size must be versatile enough to meet the tastes and needs of customers in each market. In short, there will be no CT# -L.
In addition, in the US market this strategy will allow you to attack the competition from an alternative angle and not in your own comfort zone.
so with the DEATH of the CTS AND ATS-L and both being replaced with ONE CT4 will it be designed around REAR leg room OR more overall room but NOT rear ROOM IE more like the ATS-L OR the CTS?
I like the idea of the Escalade BECOMING its OWN vehicle and NOT a "rebadge" of a CHEVY/GMC product
I hope it includes IRS or at least some proper solution to the "hack" of a rear load floor / 3RD row seating
I've heard from a fairly good source nothing above CT6 is coming. At least not anytime we would consider soon.
But maybe he's a misdirecting shill...

Position of the Cadillac XT5 with its new relatives Model Platform Dimensions Competition Start price XT4 E2U ~ WB: 111.4 in | L: 183 in Audi Q5, BMW X3, MB GLC ~ $ 36,800 XT5 C1U WB: 112.5 in | L: 189.6 in Lexus RX, BMW X4, MB GLC C ~ $ 42,900 XT6 C1U+ ~ WB: 116 in | L: 195 in Audi Q7, BMW X5, MB GLE ~ $ 50,000
It should not be forgotten that the current configuration of the XT5 is the work of the planning department of GM, basically to continue the role that had the SRX as the only crossover of the brand.
The Cadillac planning department has two options for the next generation of the XT5: maintain the current configuration, and follow a strategy similar to that of Lexus with the RX; or change of focus, to one that differentiates it from its new companions of range with similar platforms.
Let's wait and see what the decision will be, but without a doubt the XT4 and XT6 will be enough to cover most of the needs of the volume market. This new environment opens the opportunity to offer in that strip an aspirational and desirable product, that contributes more with the restoration of the image of Cadillac.
Can't think of a better way to describe it. I think all cars may see a focus on the rear seat space, but I predict CT5 will be the most "normal" car of the lineup.
CT5, XT4, and potential CT8, XT8, and Escalade Sport are the models I'm most interested in seeing, with the former the ones I personally would probably take interest in.
Unless Cadillac really hits gold and starts making gobs and gobs of cash, I expect the only "8" we'll see from Cadillac will be an XT8.
An "urban-focused personal luxury SUV" are the buzzwords I'm visioning.
They should just scale UP and go chase Bentley. They already have the exclusivity bit down...

Wow, the time after those planned launches for the other cars that don't have am exact timeline is so far away I wouldn't be surprised to see ALL those plans change! That's forever in the tastes of the motoring public! Not to mention Geo-Political developments!
I like what I read - I only ask that if Cadillac is serious about this, make the product serious also. You can't have a half-hearted effort where ride and drive excel and the interior falls flat - or vice versa. It must be a complete package that meets, or exceeds, what is expected and not be a segment leader for a year and then fall behind and be inconsequential two years later (ATS and CTS).
