Mild refresh, nothing unexpected. Looking pretty decent to me.

I find it sad that some people wish for GM to fail and can't comprehend any good news. A plausible explanation for this kind of behavior is that you have a miserable life so you wish the same to others. Cory Pham, Autoblog Poster

GM must return its divisions to being interdependent entities within the corporation. Decentralize and free the different divisions talents to foster brand differentiation and customer loyalty.

What you describe has been my experience with the current XT5 shifter. I hope any change is for the better.

Does anyone see an auto-stop defeat button? There better be one in there somewhere.

In the link I saw someone posted that the white vehicle next to the XT5 is a 2020 Acadia. Is that correct or is it something else? It has some funky headlights...

It sure does. Those weird four little square thingy's inside a rectangular main housing like a certain other mfr. does.

There was a rumor of that, but I'm going out on a limb and saying it's bull****.

It would certainly make sense to ME to have a sort of two-car replacement strategy if you were going to put your **** on the block and risk the success of your big volume car by converting its drivetrain configuration in an imminently subsequent generation, but I'd never accuse Cadillac of making too much sense.

Any idea of when this will find its way to a showroom?

All the info I’ve read has been about the Chinese model. The encore has been close to the same world wide so I don’t expect that to change. Now which wheelbase version will we get of the new model is still unknown obviously. We didn’t get much heads up as to when the new platform would make a debut. I know I thought maybe a higher end model would make the debut first but as long as the platform lives that’s probably all that matters. First Caddy models will probably be the XT7 and CT6.

I’ve got the old shifter, never had a problem with it.

If you don't press the button and hold it long enough the message will pop up on the dash saying to re-do the motion. The new shifter is much nicer and easier to use.

I think some people have an issue with memory motion. When I drove a few.. my biggest issue was actually using the motion of going left to Reverse ... constantly moving the joystick backward to reverse. Of course I was only in a few for a few hours to a day so

It's amazing how the entitled make the simplest task incredibly hard isn't it?

    Freaking Americans!

The only problem I have is forgetting to press the brake and start button after I remote start before trying to put into gear...but that's on me, not the car - and definitely not something I'd openly complain about.

Edit: I guess that is pretty open huh
