    Potential XT4-V leaked

Potential Cadillac XT4-V Leaked Via New Images

    Potential-Cadillac-XT4-V-002-Cadillac-Society.jpg

We just got our hands on two images that appear to show an as-of-yet unannounced Cadillac XT4 V-Series model, or XT4-V. The leaked images come to us from an anonymous source, and show off the rear end of the alleged high-performance compact crossover from a close-cropped angle, sparking a flurry of excitement for those interested in a Cadillac XT4 model with a little extra giddy-up-and-go.

If these images do indeed precede the announcement of a Cadillac XT4-V model, then Cadillac will have a brand new offering added to the performance branch of its dual-tier V-Series strategy. Note that an XT4-V model would slot above the base-level Luxury trim level and the second-tier Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, but would not belong to the range-topping “next-level” V-Series models, which are expected to carry the name “Blackwing.”

If it's for real - cool! Even if the pictures are fakes, I'd be surprised if Cadillac isn't working on V versions. One way or another they are coming.

SInce this is a "V" (whatever that means these days) does this mean that the XT-4-V has 247hp?

You think it's a typo? I find it extremely hard to believe GM would drop the coin to cast a new block for FWD trans bolt pattern.

Twin turbo 3.0? Sure. The 3.6tt would not be a good European play. 2.7 would be fine for a first stage V...

I wonder if this is photo shopped? I know the V’s aren’t getting the Nm badging, but going by the initial CT4-V it looked like they wouldn’t be getting displacement badges either.

Also does GM have a transmission for transverse applications (beyond the XTS-V sport 6 speed auto) that can handle that much torque. If this is real, then great, but something is not adding up.

Still I guess it’s possible GM has engineered a transverse suitable 2.7L four banger. If they do have a 9 speed transmission for transverse vehicles fitted with high torque engines ready to go, then that bodes well for an XT6 V Series with 400H/400T. The CT4-V Series 2.7L engine would make the XT4 scoot like **** off a shovel!

The Insignia was supposed to get the 2.7T, which I assume would be the OPC. They might be testing it at the Nurburgring. Has to be more than just a facelift to require track testing.

    Re: Potential XT4-V leaked

I just read the article, and in their defense they are at least a little skeptical and seem to realize this could actually be fake. After the embarrassment of the misidentified 2021 Yukon interior as the new Escalade they’re probably a little gun shy lol.

Anyhow I hope their info is correct, because an XT4-V would be a image/range topper to help shine some light on all the XT4 models.

With the expansion of the V-series, maybe the engine size will be how they differentiate them. Sure, it could be a fake made with ebay ordered parts, but who knows.

I didn't expect GM to build the 2.7T just for the base Silverado. It's in the new CT-4 and will probably start replacing the 3.6 V6 in some other SUV's. This engine should be in the Blazer.

For transverse applications it will have to be modified. Hopefully GM spends the money to do it.
