Looks like No more green coloured Cadillacs. Personally, I really liked the green, but I don't think it was a big seller.

Can anyone provide an example of "Opulent Blue Metallic" or a similar color on an existing vehicle? Thanks!

I like the power bump in the LFX 3.6 in the CTS. I noticed there were no HP/TQ figures for the LFX in the SRX, only the CTS. Can we assume that it will be the same? I know the figures being thrown around the past few days were approx. 300 hp for the SRX.

It's been nice to watch the evolution of this powerplant. It debuted in 2004(?) with 255 hp and now it is putting out 318 ponies.

I was disappointed to see this too. I love a good green, but I don't think there were enough takers.

Question Re: Meet Your 2012 Cadillac Lineup

Like everyone else, I wanna see the new grill in the non-V CTS. Anyone find any spy photos yet?

It looks like if you want the manual transmission, you're going to have to spring for the CTS-V now. That's too bad (unless of course you have CTS-V money).

I'm guessing it's the same as the one shown in the picture of the wagon?

It isn't. Cadillac has not released any 2012 MY pictures of the CTS.

I can't believe they decided to not to add a manual transmission option for 2012. That tsunami really messes things up for us driving enthusiasts.

"Redundant door locks located on the armrest" looks like someone wasn't excited about adding that one!

What ever inventory of the two that there is around the country will likely last through the end of this year, maybe longer depending on when production actually stops and that hasn't happened yet.

And if I remember correctly, Mr. Ruess mentioned in a recent interview that there would be a "surprise" for Cadillac in the last half of this year.

    All is not darkness.

Now, why would anyone here notice an improvement?

Has a SOP date been extablished for 2012 CTS???

    .
I look forward to seeing what this surprise will be....very cool I hope...like a production Converj with NO watering down? Hey, a man can dream!

SRX is tuned to 300hp and 265 lb-ft of torque, a bump of 35 horsepower, and 42 lb-feet of torque over the 265/223 last year.

Should make for a noticeable difference.

Also green isn't gone - you can get it one the 2012 SRX!
And through it all I still like 'em.

You hit the nail on the head. The CTS non-V series used an Aisin AI AY6, so supply may be a concern. There was also the fact that penetration for the manual trans in the standard CTS was an extremely rare breed - hardely any were ordered. I don't know for sure if this is a supply issue, or if it simply wasn't being ordered enough to make it financially viable.
And through it all I still like 'em.

Now this is the way to improve things, GM. Too bad Chevy gets squat.
I want to see what the new grills look like
