Current Platinum (with 3.0TT) starts at $88K including SuperCruise whereas it's a $6 option on Sport. My guess is 500hp V8 Platinum will include SuperCruise and 550hp V will offer it as an option.

Correct. The following features included on the approximately $97k CT6 Platinum V8 (500 hp) are not standard on the $93k CT6-V (550 hp):
    • Driver Assist Package: Adaptive Cruise Control-Advanced, Night Vision, Forward & Reverse Automatic Braking
    • Rear Seat Package: Quad-Zone ACC, Air Ionizer, Rear Seat Infotainment System
    • 20 way power massaging front seats
    • 8 way power articulating and massaging rear seats
    • Super Cruise
    • Illuminated Sill Plates

Take another look, you can get the 2.0T with RWD only (maybe you were toggled onto AWD):

I guess so. However, just like anyone who purchases a $90k - $100k Cadillac CT6 new, after a couple years those "elite" 275 will have a vehicle that depreciates to less than $50k. CT6-V's "super-low volume" doesn't make it a collector car (yet). So it will eventually be a moot point to those folks.

The $4k price increase is probably nugatory to most folks who really want to purchase a CT6-V as a new vehicle. After all, a few years ago a gentleman named David Flynn from Ohio paid $200,000 for the right to purchase the first retail production CT6. To Mr. Flynn's credit, that $200,000 was donated to Karmanos Cancer Institute and GM Foundation added another half million dollar donation to that organization. Mr. Flynn also got a personal tour of GM's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly plant.

I suspect GM's pricing actions will not be popular on GMI, however, Cadillac is creating desirability which is what we've all wanted them to. Why is GM creating desirability? So that they can raise prices to achieve the big profits the Germans do. So by our wishing for Cadillac to create desirability we are also blessing price increases.
Good points. That old double edged sword comes out to play I guess. In a lot of ways this is good for Cadillac though.

That is a lot of twist, though in my opinion a V CT6 should pack a bigger nuke than the CTS V, which is almost a Tsar Bomba...

This is true on both.. Not too long ago a friend of mine found out his $100k 2 year old Sclass with only like 23k on the odo had lost almost 50% of its value..

And yeah that $4k saddened me for about 15 seconds.. Then I was like.. I'm still getting it.. Just gotta figure out color

going to show an S Class is not worth the money they want for it, if you see beyond the hype and look at the naked Emperor.

Its especially painful if you look at it from getting its current value from the sales person that sold it to you.

Naaah. Historically the performance sedan POWER Hotspot is mid-size with the actual handling champ the small luxo. Plus I gotta remember that the CT5 will probably get the same engine with more power, awd, and be lighter this time

I get that, if I was Cadillac, the CT6 V would be the Vsport, and then CT6 V would get the ZR1 Tsar Bomba.. Just because I can.

With AWD, and the quick 10 speed.. it would need a parachute to stop from the 1/4 mile.. .. Grandma would be in a hurry..Heck, just let people custom order em.. Call it The Tsar.. CT6 Tsar..

LOL.. Hell yeah. But like the ZR1 I'd have to sit it out. My Z06 is already a beast to handle when U hit the gas even a blip.. I drove the ZR1 and was like SSSSS####!!!!TTT!!!.. Like Biggie said. "Had me Scared Ta Death!"

It's incredible that any vehicle with over 500HP is street legal without AWD. Seriously. I predict that the CT6-V is faster (or equal) than my CTS-V in acceleration tests.. despite size, and despite the 90HP deficit. The CTS-V goes to 60 in 3.5 seconds and does a quarter-mile in 11.6 at 126.1 mph. What I'm saying is that I wouldn't be surprised if the CT6-V does it in the same time or shaves about 2/10ths off those times.. maybe more. Combo of AWD and that 10 speed

extremely good for Cadillac. They are realizing that they should not have to play second fiddle to the Euros anymore.. The DTS, the reason for that.. is long gone.. plus the XTS is being put out to pasture .. actually I see that one as an unfortunate.. It is actually a really nice car. I truly believe GM should keep building the Super Exxs. All three of them. Give them all access to that 3.0LTT now that the BlackWing has arrived

I'll stay here and praise that gorgeous AWD CT6-V which will have 850nm slapped across the back "in spirit" (since its a V)

and U Eddie... Get back over to the Utility Van tread so U can be among those praising a Ford Transit for getting a new engine and AWD.. Enthusiasts indeed

But they aren't being rewarded, they bought a limited edition Beanie Baby, then the company changed it's mind and made hundreds, thousand, millions more - The exclusivity is gone, the guy that buys one in the second round doesn't have the expectation of exclusivity, like the first batch.

You really want me to keep talking about the Express Van?

GM desperately needs more customers like you!

So is this car going to be worth 1/2 of $88,790 or 1/2 of $92,790?
