Can't argue with a word he said, really honest and spot on. Total agreement with you on the reviewers, seems you need jazz hands and a silly disney shtick to get anywhere, sad.
honest and spot on but there were not enough arguments. If I were him, I would mention lack of power headrests, door panels not sophisticated enough and lack of interior color choices. Other than that I think the interior is still quite handsome. I would still buy it over Germans if I was an American living in U.S.
Agree with everything said but about the sound system. I've heard the Burmeister and Mark Levinson audio systems and it's definately comparable. For 100k the sense of occasion when you get in isn't there and it's missing too many little things to justify the price.
Its almost like they think that just because they slap a $100k pricetag on it it somehow becomes more desireable...that's what worries me about the Celerystiq, they're already boasting about a 200k pricetag before the product is even finished. Personally, I like to look at a product with the phrase "sum of its parts" in mind and IMO GM is going to run into a whole bunch of unsold Celestiq's if they think that just because it's 200k it somehow is more desireable. GM tried this same price before product tactic w/ the XLR V and we saw how that all played out.
I had one ride in a tt, I loved the seats, interesting what you walk away and remember most two years later - the seats. Very comfortable.
Though I'm sad that they are ending this fantastic vehicle on this incredible chassis, I can't wait to see these new electrics and hoping the new Escalade interior is a hint of what is to come!
Cadillac first selects a price point and a profit margin, installs excellent powertrain and chassis engineering, then builds interior with what's left.
What should happen is powertrain and chassis engineering should be top notch, interior should be extremely top notch, price point should be relatively low relative to the market and on the low end of their margin targets. As mojo increases in the market, slightly up the price. Simultaneously, innovate, innovate, and innovate...
That's how everyone else does it--why can't Cadillac???
