I already feel sorry for this car that it is fighting a losing battle by definition. This is a car that literally can't win the game it's playing.
They're making up for the '80's C body Deville with almost cartoonishly long axle to cowl distance. I like it though.
They shouldn't be fooling with anything but an Escalade of sedans IMO.

There's a new image of the CT5 on Cadillac.com:

Please! I could point you in the direction of countless cars with emblems just as big or bigger. Mercedes, Infiniti, VW Volvo, etc. BMW keep their badge pretty constant, because someone decided: " We don't need to make the badge bigger, because we'll just make the next most Iconic BMW detail/identifier (the grille) GARGANTUAN!"
This is a nice picture. It looks really good here and I think in person it may be pretty amazing. Rumor has it that the next Cadillac coupe (if there is one, which I think is pretty questionable) will be based off this and not the CT4. This has the basis for a very nice coupe.
Unfortunately, it will likely sell about as well as the CTS. The market sucks for sedans and I can't see this changing that fact. Hopefully they sell enough to make staying in the car business worth it for Cadillac.
I like the badge. I think it's proportionally correct for the grille. I think the wreath-less badge has kind of an elegant look. I really like it on my ATS, which has a rather large (but not too large) front badge which I think looks great.

Drives a 2019 Cadillac ATS Coupe and a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA.
In the past, I've had a 5th gen Camaro, a CTS sedan and coupe, two 3rd gen Firebird Formulas, a convertible 4th gen Trans Am, a Reatta, a couple of Monte Carlos, an Avenger coupe, a couple of Cavalier hatchbacks, a Saturn SC1, and a Cherokee.
I'm sorry, but in that white, it has a face only a Chinese could buy.
How can you make it look so boring and plain? That was Toyota's job !
I think the color of the car over at the Cadillac site does wonders for it. That lower straight on shot also helps with giving the features real definition. Far better than that washed out white shot out in the wild. Funny & interesting too, I own a white vehicle and it does hide some of its character as well.

I love the profile picture (middle pic of the three pictures you posted), the long hood with the wheel pushed way out to the front, short trunk/fastback look. Looks strong & muscular - it is what a modern American luxury car should look like. No retro touches, no stealing from the Euro's, no excessive show car looks that people will ohh and ahh over but not buy.
