Escalade buyers asking for V-Series variant?

Escalade-V? Customers, Dealers Want it, Says Caddy
    by Sebastien Bell

    GMInsideNews

All the cool (German) kids are doing it, so why wouldn’t Cadillac? The vogue for big performance SUVs may soon hit the Cadillac if comments made by Cadillac’s Escalade product manager, Dave Schiavone, to Detroit publication Muscle Cars & Trucks are anything to off.

“Ever since we came out with the V-Series on the CTS, we’ve had dealers and customers always asking for (an Escalade-V),” said 2021 Cadillac Escalade Product Manager, Dave Schiavone in an exclusive interview with MC&T. “We’re always looking at opportunities, and where we can take portfolios.”

Add 20k to price of the Escalade with bigger performance they will sale everyone of them. People like their big toys to have a lot of power and GM has the engines and engineering to do it. These will be big cash cows for GM and seeing how the V-models hold their value its a no brainer.

My 76 y/o aunt has a 2018 CTS V and that's great, but I'd hate to see her with one of these

I think $200k is pushing it, they'd have to make some serious changes to command that price.

FCA will beat them to it. Yet another missed opportunity by GM. SRT or Hellcat? What is GM ready to go with in response?

    Something, something, in 2022...
And then they will have to stop selling because of new Green regs. Lost opportunity.

GM is no longer playing the ‘show me yours’ Game.. they are playing the Wall Street game.. .. yeah, yeah, I know.. they are not mutually exclusive, but, you know.. it’s very important to pay attention to profitability...

Isn't that what everyone wants?. Cars that nobody can afford, but brag about on their Zoom meetings?.

I mean I personally can't wait for the 1st $60k (USD) Toyota Yaris.

Wait, we're almost there I just optioned up an Audi A3 to $50k.

You can't even price a fully loaded Escalade ESV Platinum to $120,000. That's embarrassing.

A *lot* needs to happen before Cadillac can even attempt something in the $200,000 range.
A *BASE* Range Rover LWB is as much as a fully loaded ESV Platinum. A Range Rover LWB SVA is $210,000 starting, and it's all but bespoke to you. And it ramps up to $230,000.

IMHO, the Platinum Escalades needed to hit $150,000 already. There is no reason why the absolute top tier Escalade can't hit this price. With a base 2WD Escalade at $80,000, $150,000 is very realistic.

For a luxury car that is meant for bragging rights? Yes. A $200,000 Cadillac should be a goal.
You can already get Audis and Mercedes and BMW's in the $200,000 range.
