Of course its superior to them. Forget the self loathing American journalist who cares more about their German paid junkets than objective reporting.
We still hear about Cimarron, but never about Model A.

I didn't watch the review, but given that the Chinese still value the chauffeur experience of being driven as a form of luxury, I am not surprised that they preferred a 5-Series size car that comes for the price of a 3-Series. I wonder if this means Cadillac doesn't have to bother with region-specific long-wheelbase models of the CT4 and CT5?

You seem to forget that the 3 series and C Class are the LWB versions in China, so its about the same wheelbase as the CT5. And the review did not focus on the chauffeur experience at all, your belief that a Chinese person who is in the CT5 market would be chauffeured is absurd.

I was scratching my head as he said a couple of times how powerful the car is with the 2.0T until the end when he showed the Mercedes competition with a 1.5T engine.

Overall sounds favorable! Car looks great in motion!!!

    You think BMW/MB aren't likewise?
50% of s-class sales are in China.

    It does look good.

Unfortunately, I don't see it selling much better than its predecessor.
Drives a 2019 Cadillac ATS Coupe and a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA.

In the past, I've had a 5th gen Camaro, a CTS sedan and coupe, two 3rd gen Firebird Formulas, a convertible 4th gen Trans Am, a Reatta, a couple of Monte Carlos, an Avenger coupe, a couple of Cavalier hatchbacks, a Saturn SC1, and a Cherokee.

No it won't but I'm happy to see it none the less. Hoping I can get one in a few years.

You mean in the USA? If so, unfortunately I agree with you. Looks to be a fantastic car, but it is a fantastic car in a land where everyone wants a CUV.

I'm getting tired of hearing these Cadillac review videos in GMnese.

P.S...I really don't care I just wanted to use "GMnese".

the vid is a LOT like the OLD car review shows and LESS like the "feelings based" youtube vids nowadays
he went through details calling out what is GOOD and BAD
and seemed to be "fair" on it

I think BMWs are all overpriced and overrated. It's like American writers are afraid to say anything bad about them.

I'm not saying they are bad cars / SUVs but they seem to do no wrong in many eyes.

Well, this is why Cadillacs sell better in China than the US. Chinese reviewers haven’t had a negative view of Cadillac pounded into their heads. So, you get straight up reviews.

The subtitles moved too fast for me to read it all, but he really seems to like the CT5.

I am on the border of genius and crazy. I keep trying to cross over into genius, but ICE keeps sending me back to the crazy side of the border.
