Unconditional love is fanboizism. Realistic criticism is somehow "hate on GM."
Reality is there's a core group on here that bashes almost every single thing that GM does down to the tiniest nitpick. And posts it over and over and over. And then praise almost everything that Ford does to the heavens. And the truth is both companies have some hits and some misses. In fact for an enthusiast, let's be honest, GM has more choices, Ford has only the Mustang. And what you call "realistic criticism" borders on fanbois bashing. Open your eyes a bit and read the threads.

There is clearly a group of people that lean heavily (and some exclusively) to criticism and obviously a group that goes in the other direction. Why is criticism "realistic" and liking something "unrealistic"?

For me the overall shape of the car is the most important piece, and I love the overall shape of the CT5, the details are secondary (but still important). I think for many the details come first and the overall shape is secondary. So I get it that a lot of people don't like the C pillar - but again, why is that viewpoint realistic but mine isn't?

Again, as I said in the post above, I'm not trying to get everyone all riled up and angry - I say this as a talking point for understanding.
I agree with you on the CT5 and while I'm not too keen on that C pillar treatment and the chrome spear, it doesn't exactly kill the looks of the car and isn't that dreadful. I like that they are trying to branch out so to speak.

That’s my biggest thing where it gets posted a hundred times over and over. Like seriously get a life and leave the site if thats what you are about. Me just muting that poster isn’t enough sometimes.

I hope I never have so little going on that I would come to a forum for a company I don't like to bash them continually.

I wish they'd offer manual trans' on the fake Vs GM just revealed. I mean, it's the least they could do.

Z28... Its highly likely if they are going to offer it on the BlackWings it will be in the Vs... and possibly be in the regular Sport versions as well. Personally.. I never thought the CTS needed a manual, but of course thought the V was desirable with one. The ATS on the other hand needed it thru-out its line-up. In the end.. I would never buy any Cadillac with a manual transmission.. it just seems Anti-Cadillac.. that's my opinion.. and I hope they offer it in everything that makes sense for it to be.

To those wondering what I finally went for.. I bought a used 2003 Harley Softail with Rinehart exhaust. Having it detailed and waiting on a new Harley/Mustang seat as we speak. Very Happy. And stayed American. Cadillac, Corvette, Chevy, GMC.. and now.. I'm a Harley Man

Where does GM source their manual boxes? I've driven two Cadillac manuals (unicorns on the same dealer lot!) and both of them were clunky, notchy and gritty. Some of the worst I've ever tried.

Ehhhhh......which one were they? If they were the Tremec's you're speaking in tongues.
