I'd actually buy the Blackwing CT6 Platinum and forget the rest.

All in all, I say that these cars are still tiny fractions of the main model sales.
They exist simply for the small niche of buyers who want them

Northstar almost got a V12 version until the recession knocked it down.

More like the 3.6 DI V6 was so good that GM didn't really need the Northstar V8 anymore and a V12 anything was going to be a tough sell with 35 mpg CAFE looming in the background.

Or...maybe the Northstar was so bad that it was barely better than the 3.6 DI, but that doesn't mean that Cadillac should've given up on it...maybe they should've worked to improve it, maybe get it closer to the 400hp mark instead of letting it hang around at the 320 mark when the V6 was getting 300hp.

Going back to the praising of the BW, some of you think that the BW is the greatest thing ever just because it's a DOHC V8 from GM...I'm of the opinion that its nothing special...a newcomer to the club that already has more capable, more established members...it's not a world beater like some of you claim, but it's competent, and a somewhat welcome entry. Personally I'd rather see a SC OHV LT derived motor than the BW just because I feel it's more "Americana" but since it's here...whatever use it but I think they should've used the dev costs of the BW on better interior appointments...like switchgear that didn't come from a Cruze.

This thing is going to be 1 years old before they hit Dealers Lots? If they hit Canadian Dealers Lots at all.

I guess 1 less year to wait for them to become "Classics".

Want a Good Deal on one? Just go around to Cadillac Dealers and ask "Who put the largest Deposit on one that told them to Pound Salt" and walked away. Then offer the Dealer equal to the Depo, below Wholesale, and wait for the "OK". "Thank you for getting us out of this thing."
