I do believe that it's a mistake to try to follow the Europeans too closely but consider this
    CT4 Base = 2.7T, V = 350 HP 3.0 TT, V Track = 520 HP B/wing

    CT5 Base = 400 HP 3.0 TT, V = 520 HP B/wing, V Track =620 HP B/wing

    CT6 Base = 520 HP B/wing, V = 620 HP B/wing, V Track =720 HP B/wing

As I keep saying, there is this very large group of people (not on this forum) who don't even know how many cylinders are under their hood. For that group, if the car has enough power and more importantly meets their requirements and price, that is all that matters.

Bet the 3.0L is the engine in China tho.. I bet the 2.0L is still there too.. We know the PHEV is. Chinese simply support American Cadillac more than America...

    +1
CT6 PHEV powertrain is among the best GM has ever offered. The Voltec based hybrid drive system does an amazing job taming the 4-cylinder gasoline engine in that car.

Looks like GM discontinued CT6 PHEV in the China domestic market, too: https://www.cadillac.com.cn/pdf/ct6.pdf

Of course. That's as it should be. China is a larger and faster growing market for premium cars, though growth has slowed recently.

Chinese buyers support BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi more than American buyers do, as well. All of those brands along with Cadillac count China as their single largest sales region.

There's a fundamental reason why, and it has nothing to do with "Americans hate America" nonsense. Chinese Cadillacs have much more luxury appointments than American Cadillacs have. The reason for this is because GM doesn't have full control of Chinese Cadillac, they don't quibble over the cost of door handles, they know what luxury buyers expect and give it to them.

Hell, even Chinese Buick gets it, see Lacrosse below.

Personally, I'm about CT'd out myself. I think I'll buy the 2020 LT1 Camaro. Or is that a 1LT? I'll get back to you.
It sounded pretty good until I actually said it.

So...I read that 2020 is the CT6's last year. Is it going or staying but produced elsewhere?

Maybe it will be produced only for Chinese market

I figure that it'll stick around in China seeing how its produced there as well, but what about the US market? We're left with mixed signals and no official word on whether it's being re-allocated or killed when the plant shuts down. IMO GM needs to be ahead of the news being reported out regarding the CT6.

I'd be diverting those RWD 3.6 V6s to Camaro and Colorado to use them up.

Perhaps it’s getting replaced. By that time it will have been on sale for 5 years. It could be it’s going to get a ATS/CT4 level facelift to where it is CT6 2.0. The MCE as nice as it is, is essentially CT6 1.5.
