    Cadillac CT5-V In Order Guide

Updated order guide available that includes CT5-V.

The most immediate thing that sticks out to me is that you CAN NOT get the 3.0TT (LGY) with the Sport. Only the 2.0T. The 3.0TT is available on Premium Lux and V Series. Interestingly enough is that PL and V both list the same engine with 360HP and 405lb-ft of torque. Previously read that the 3.0 would be 335 on non V series and 355 on V series.

Seems ridiculous that the PL potentially has 100hp more than the Sport model.

Why did it lose HP from the CT6 V? This is nuts

Interesting, with the CT4 they detuned the 2.7T a bit for PremLux so that the V offered more power. Here on the CT5 you get the same HP on both V and PremLux (the 3.0TT is of course optional on the PremLux).

Either way, the power is up a bit from initial announcement.

    (The CT6-V has the 4.2TT V8.)

Right. And this conflicts with the prior announcements. So now you have a non V variant with the same HP as the V? I don’t get it. Gets weirder by the day.

I’m sure they’ll say MPG or to try to keep cost more manageable for this car. Considering this will be a low volume car why make another variant of it ?(and based on the announcements it was going to be two new variants)

Yes, you’re right, the 3.0TT is down from 400hp in the CT6-V. I seem to recall something about smaller turbos which generate less top-end power but also less turbo lag.

Agreed, but the one thing that GM does that really irritates me is not offering all the colors across all the trim lines. For instance, if I wanted a Sport or V version, I wouldn't be able to get it in Dark Moon Metallic. Why?! Why limit someone's choices if they're paying a premium for you automobile in the first place?

They announced V sport is gone awhile back. Unfortunately the new V is weaker than the old V Sport.

At this point I think Cadillac is even confusing themselves.
