I'm not sure how/where Cadillac is going to position this car, but it is essentially a second generation ATS.
Taking the same car and one time you place it "up" a segment, it's a huge fail, the next time you place it "down" a segment, it should be a smashing success!

I Think im going to be very disappointing. i can make out the general shape and it doestnt seem much different from the current CTS/ATS minus the front.
It would make more sense to replace the ATS sedan first to fill a hole in the Cadillac Range. Also CT4 which is clearly a heavily revised ATS that replaces all outer panels, but apparently keeps the roof and doors with new skins, looks from the many spy shots to be further along than CT5. We have seen most of CT5’s dashboard, and we haven’t seen the CT4 interior yet, so I could be wrong on that count.
Cadillac will likely announce something in a few weeks as NY show press days are less than 7 weeks away.
Btw. I really love that rim, and is it me, or do those tires have a pretty big footprint, especially for the Luxury variant?
The fact that the Premium Luxury and the Sport version have both been caught at the same time, seems to lend more credence to the notion that CT4 will launch before CT5.

Did they change anything in between the front and rear? It has the ATS's exact DLO. Even shares the same mirrors. Rear looks ripped straight off my CTS, down to the exhaust outlets.
I'm not holding my breath for this thing.
If you look at the Sport variant at that other site's, other site the taillights have an element along the edge that looks similar to XTS. Someone speculated that perhaps the CT4 will have tail lights with the dog leg at the bottom just like the XTS, rather than at the top like the CT6/XT6. That is definitely a possibility.
To be fair, we travel a alot and at odd hours, so after the time we got screwed in rural western PA at 2AM, I couldn't take it anymore.
We have moved on from this stupidity. I get that they look good. We now have 'normal' enough tire profiles, on a 300 and Charger. My wife said never again, and got a Grand Cherokee. Am I the only one that gives two craps about this issue as a buying decision? Maybe there should be a 'rust belt' wheel-tire option?
