Cadillac CT4 and CT4-V pricing revealed, starts at $33,990

The entry-level CT4 Luxury with rear-wheel drive will start at $33,990, including the destination charge. Adding all-wheel drive requires another $2,600, bringing the total to $36,590. Cadillac also throws in heated front seats and a heated steering wheel when you opt for the all-wheel drive model. The CT4-V comes in at $45,490 before options — on the V, the up-charge for all-wheel drive is only $1,100.

Cadillac offers two trims in between the base Luxury and more powerful V-Series: Premium Luxury and Sport. The Premium Luxury is priced from $38,490, and the Sport is a tad bit more expensive at $39,590. All-wheel drive is even more expensive ($3,200) in the Premium Luxury, as it adds cooled front seats on top of the heated seats and steering wheel. The cooled seats aren’t included with the Sport all-wheel drive package, so it’s the same $2,600 charge as in the Luxury model.

Almost $4K less than CT5 starting price, sounds about right. Alas $45K for CT4-V is out of my league...

To put that in some perspective, an Accord Sport 2.0T starts at a little over $31K. But is offered with optional manual transmission (same price) which for me is big.

This is likely to be the best car in its price segment.

    Mercedes A Class 188hp 221lb-ft FWD
    Audi A3 228hp 258lb-ft FWD
    Cadillac CT4 237hp 258lb-ft RWD

    Audi S3 288hp 280lb-ft AWD (front bias)
Mercedes A35 AMG 302 hp 295lb-ft AWD (front bias)
    Cadillac CT4-V 325hp 380lb-ft RWD (AWD optional)
I am on the border of genius and crazy. I keep trying to cross over into genius, but ICE keeps sending me back to the crazy side of the border.

Is that the way people shop for cars though? Or do people look at what they can afford on a given budget and choose among those vehicles that fit their budget?

I read an article on Jalopnik once that showed how EPA segments were based on interior volume so you had some Rolls Royce’s in the same segment as a Chevy Spark, but no one actually crossshops Rolls and Chevy Sparks, right?

I doubt size will be the determining factor for many shoppers.

I get where you are coming from. The Cadillac haters are going to desperately try to force comparisons of a car with $34,000 in amenities to be compared to a car with $41,000 in amenities, but I seriously someone looking at the A Class or A3 are going to NOT crossshop the CT4 because its dimensions are a few inches bigger.

I can see it: “naaah, that Cadillac is 8 inches too much, so I will just skip it even though it fits well in my budget.”

Is the Chevy spark a full sized ultra-lux coupe?

    CT4 = ATS = 3/C Class....all are compact luxury sedans.

That’s the point. The CT4 is no more a 3 Series competitor than the Spark is a Rolls Royce competitor. CT4 will be equipped more like the A Class and priced more like the A Class, so there’s the logical point of comparison, anything else is just anti-Cadillac hackery.

It's not anti Cadillac hackery...riddle me this:

What car/segment did the ATS compete in? Are the CT4s dimensions exactly the same as the ATS? So how is the CT4 now a class smaller?

Hackery on my part? No...Hackery and jedi mind tricks on GMs part? Youbetcha

Caddy should have had the CT4/5 on lots at the same time as the refreshed Benz A/CLA. I’m already seeing both all over the place here in Los Angeles.

To you it's a budget 3 Series competitor, to some it'll be a lot more car for the money versus the A3/A-Class, though not the 2-series.

To further explain how ridiculous this whole playing down thing is....imagine if Chevrolet came out and said the Malibu, as is, is now a Corolla/Civic competitor boasting thr largest interior volume in the compact sedan class. Wouldnt that sound/look dumb?

Truth be told...right now, Malibus are going for compact prices so why isnt it targeted at the compact segment? Wanna know why...Because it isnt a compact

If being on the same platform as an ATS makes it in the ATS class then, f###, so is the Camaro. This is ridiculous. It’s priced like the A Class and the A3, which means you should expect it to be similarly equipped to those models rather than the C Class or the 3 Series.
