You do realize that rendering has zero to do with Cadillac? Without giving anything away, the stance proportions are almost identical to the existing Escalade. There are no radical changes. It is evolutionary. Biggest change the Front, but still screams Escalade. Rear is just refined and that rendering has the lower part of the tailgate (below the glass) all wrong. The tail is the least changed aspect, and the changes they made are very subtle. Supposedly it is all new, but stylistically it has evolved about the same amount versus the existing Escalade, as the MCE CT6 did versus the 2016 launch version.
What's surprising is that the 2021 Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban and Escalade still have everything disguised. By now you'd expect to see most production bodywork hidden only by the squiggly black and white wrap. Some of that stuff should be coming off any day now.
Brushed aluminum c pillar...
The WB could still be slightly longer, as everything aft of the rear doors is where major changes like IRS are happening. Everything forward of the rear wheels could be a re-skin. We shall see, but with GM being very frugal (ATS to CT4) of late, I could certainly see the logic of only changing perhaps 50% of the current Escalade. The ROI would almost be irresistible over a 100% redesign.
NO NO NO, this is no reskin. While I'd stop short of calling it radical changes(Big Suv's are basically boxy) it is all new in style and in proportion as well, wheel base is clearly stretched. There will be no mistaking this with the outgoing model.

(Rear) suspension was also different, right?
If they changed that, I would guess they completely re-looked/did the chasis.
All i gotta say is that they (Cadillac) better not screw this up, the interior of the C8 is freaking sweet so if some of that switchgear made it over, that'll be good for Caddy, but the Exterior better not have any CT5 level screw-ups...brushed aluminum C pillar isn't anywhere near the CT5s faux window, sounds pretty nice actually.
Right now Cadillac is sitting on a 3.5 (CT5 is a push) game losing streak in terms of their recent rollouts, the Escalade cannot fall flat on its face.
As far as shape and design goes, it's a box. It's hard to get it to look different. I haven't seen this yet, but judging by the pics of it so far, it's looking like a CT4-esque refresh, not a totally new design, like SKH said.
I'm fine with that, just don't **** up the interior or front/rear clips.
I don't see any difference from the previous Escalade styling formula. They take a Suburban, slap a Cadillac grill and tail lights on it, and slather the rest of it with gaudy chrome trim. The result is an chintzy monstrosity, a fundamentally dishonest product that is an insult customers.
