Am I perhaps the only one who was noticed that their sporting focus seems to have exited the building almost as fast as the furniture from their New York offices?
I want a car so violent that the mere thought of full throttle would cause a heart attack. That actually going wide open throttle in would result in nothing less than instant death!

How so? Cadillac racing just won for the second week in a row this weekend at Long Beach. They have the CT6-V Series with Blackwing V8,and we pretty much know there will be CT4-V and CT5-V.

We just need a few Sport variants to replace the V-Sport XTS/CTS, and granted an XT4 with 300HP would be nice, as would an XT6 Sport with 400HP.

Now if you want to talk about the lack of true sporting variants within GM’s bread and butter offerings as a whole, (beyond the Camaro and Corvette) then I’m with you.

Hopefully the rumors of a Mid engined Cadillac turn out to be true, along with a CT5 Coupe with not just 400HP TTV6, but also 600+HP V Series.

I enjoy fondling the soft door bottoms on my DTS every time I get in the car.

I usually kick my door bottoms...Is that how we're supposed to get out of a car? Maybe they should do aluminum kick plates.

What I'd like to see out of GM/Caddy is some sort of segment busting CUV...Like an X6 type Coupe XT8??? built of the LWB C1XX with a 4 seat executive seating arrangement w/ reclining/footrest equipped seats. Something other than the 3 rows of meh they rolled out with the XT6.

Please Cadillac, for the love of all that is holy, don't do an X6 type of vehicle! A five seater is fine, but don't dispense with a CUV/SUVs raison d'etre by compromising cargo capacity.

    Why not???
    Audi has the Q8
    MB has the GLC, GLE
    BMW has the X4, X6
    RR has the Evoque

Who really cares about max cargo capacity in a Lux CUV? Why not do a highly styled CUV that focuses on style/passenger experience instead of worrying about seldom used utility?

I do, too, and it shows on my light-colored vinyl. I wish they'd go back to a strip of carpet, but I think the crummy glue they used in the 70's killed them when so many got curled edges or worse.

True, most of these are not purchased just to see how much stuff they can cram into it. They do their duty shuffling owners to all the classy places and the country clubs just looking as beautiful as their owners are usually.

The reviewers will eat Cadillac's lunch if they put carpeted kick panels on the doors, while it will be functional, it won't go over well...I can see it now, "What's next Opera Lights?"

Various Range Rovers do that and they're handsome/beautiful and they don't have compromised Utility. Fastback CUV/SUVs are the answer to the question nobody asked. The X6 (one of the first, may have actually been the first) is probably the most hideous of them all. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Strictly referring to how bereft the latest crossover debuts are of Cadillac's sporting focus.

XT4 went on sale last August, and XT6 goes on sale this August. It's possible more overtly sporting variants are in the pipeline. We'll just have to wait and see. The new Escalade will almost certainly get the V Sport or V series treatment.

Sporty XT4/6??? Not too sure how something with a 60/40 weight distribution can be sporty.

Not that they are the same type of vehicle, but what is the weight distribution of a Civic Type R?

    61.8% / 38.2%

GM has fantastic suspension engineers. I'm not worried about them putting their best foot forward with sporty variants.
