    2020 Cadillac XT6 Is a Pleasant, Forgettable SUV

    The Cadillac XT6 is an all-new luxury midsized SUV with three rows of seating, upscale interior appointments, and an understated exterior.

    So far, we think it’s a perfectly pleasant companion for commuting and road trips. But this Cadillac hasn’t demonstrated any reason for buyers to choose it over key competitors, which include well-established players such as the Audi Q7 and Lexus RX L, and even fresh newcomers from mainstream brands, such as the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride.

    It's only just begun...and that is consumer reports being nice.

    C/D and MT are going to tear this half hearted effort a new one. I bet GM won't even turn one over for comparison testing.

    I expect most reviews to be like this and I also expect it to sell well.

    Some frequently used steering-wheel-mounted controls are hard to reach;
    Does the reviewer have freakishly small fingers or arms? How can they possibly be hard to reach being their are right in front of you? Comments like these need more explaining, without further color they come across poorly to me and detract from the authors credibility.

    Consumer Reports reviews are always a bit odd.

    It is aimed towards women right? You guys said it yourselves. Women tend to have smaller hands, unless you're into chicks with manhands...which BTW is a huge turn off.

    All that aside, they're probably talking about the innermost buttons on each spoke of the wheel, it'll be a stretch for girl hands to reach without coming off the rim. Small ergonomic nag.

    That review is probably about right. And it will sell well because it's nice looking and nicely appointed with decent power. A LOT is going to depend on the lease deals once it's out a while. if they can lease it for not much more than the XT5 Premium Luxury it will sell very well, maybe $100 a month more or so IMO.

    Here's the thing, all of those other SUVs are pleasant and forgettable as well.

    How can that possibly be true? Models a couple of classes below Cadillac get those sort of features these days.

    Very true! Though I'm thinking if that is one of their major issues, then things aren't that bad.

    GM used to leave the express-up off the rear windows for safety/liability reasons. No doubt they've studied the lumbar position of a few thousand people to come up with the 95% position, and they've probably had too many massage failures & complaints. It's astonishing how complex luxury seats have become.

    or...say it with me, GM took the cheap route yet again. Does the front passenger side window at least have express up? Mine doesn't. I find it odd that my $41K crossover doesn't have that but my 13 year old station wagon does. Kinda have to use a klingon death grip to roll all the windows up at the same time.
