    Re: 2020 Cadillac CT6-V First Drive | A new kind of V

Actually, I drove one today, a 2019 CT6 V at my dealership in Alexandria, VA. that belongs to the sales manager. I only drove it a few miles to the Interstate, punched it, not as quick as my CTS V, but impressive enough for me to put a 24 hold on the White one in the showroom for sale. It is one of those numbered ones from 2019....MSRP on the window sticker is $97,000+.

I don't like the fact that it does not come with Super Cruise. They had four CT6 V's there, all pre sold, including this one but the guy who ordered it backed out, got tired of waiting. They also had a CT6 Platinum V8, also sold.

I think I'm going to pass if they can get me a 2020 Platinum. I want the Super Cruise and the massaging seats....

I forgot to mention that the interior trim is not up to the Platinum. The aniline leather in the Platinum is much nicer...also don't like the interior color choices. Love the Platinums Light Cashmere, looks much more expensive.............

Actually, I want the Escala, but I guess thats not coming, so I guess I'll hafta add one of these as I want that V8.

    Wonder what will land 1st, 2020 CT6, or 2020 C8....................

Remember this is not a V, a CTS V, is a proper Cadillac V, The Vsport is what this is.

I am so sad for Cadillac. Just no willingness to stick it out and establish a brand..

    My heart weeps

As much as I hate saying it, it will probably be the last REAL V you will see from Cadillac. Unless Cadillac seriously gets it's s*** straightened out and continues to make Sedans, as well as Coupes, a true Sports Car, the Escala, and even a Convertible..........in short, Cadillac becomes competitive, rather than four SUV's and two mediocre sedans (CT4/CT5) sitting in a Cadillac showroom a year from now.....if not......then........we may be witness to a Biblical prediction.........the end of Cadillac.

The next “real” Vs (Blackwing CT4-V/CT5-V or whatever they end up calling them) coming next year per C&D:

I never get so many posters on this site. It is widely known their is a hipo V coming out, probably using the same 650hp S/C V8 they used before. And yet people whine (and not like the sound of a S/C) about no hipo. The hipo has always been a year after the initial release.

Sorry you have to work. Hopefully some triple time!
