There's a surprise! Good job GM!

Funny how he's talking about the Hyundai like it's so old and it's impending refresh. They started selling it in 2019.

    He is talking about Genesis.

G70 debuted at the end of 2017. And this year it will get facelift (we've seen the pictures of it)

Funny how he's doing a comparison between a Cadillac and Hyundai.............. (Genesis).

I'd like to mention that while yes the Genesis is about to be refreshed 2 years after its rollout, this is nothing like the GM truck debacle where we were looking for a MCE on the day they were introduced. Here we've already seen the MCE and have an expected date of delivery. There's a stark difference between needing a MCE and getting a MCE.

I only say this because I think some were trying to infer something of the like and give a further edge to the Chevy

I love that green with the whisper beige interior combination. If I am getting a CT5-V, that’s my car. Just sweet!
I am on the border of genius and crazy. I keep trying to cross over into genius, but ICE keeps sending me back to the crazy side of the border.

The Hyundai Genesis used to actually be a thing, so I understand his error. But there has never been a car called a Chevy Cadillac.

When I see a Genesis on the road I automatically think “Hyundai Genesis” before correcting myself that Genesis is now its own thing. It’s very new stand alone brand.

Slip of the tongue with using Hyundai, I meant Genesis. I got the 2019 date from: https://www.carsdirect.com/2022/genesis/g70

Slip of the tongue, nothing more.

However, I think a better analogy is that a CT5 is a GM product, therefore a CT5 is a GM. Hyundai is Genesis' parent company, so in that vein of thinking a Genesis is a Hyundai and a Kia is a Hyundai. However, I'm sure that thought will stir up an uproar - so I'll say it right now that I'm not going to argue about it. It was a simple mistake that I wrote Hyundai, no sinister intentions to put the Genesis down. However, I suspect I made the slip because the brand "Genesis" means nothing to me at this point. If anyone wants to discuss what they are doing to build respect for the brand, I'm happy to explore that topic.

Speaking of Hyundai, where has Neanderthal been?

A bit of a lame duck comparison with the G70 facelift arriving so soon.

Yes, but not to long ago any new GM product would lose against any competitor, no matter how lame duck it was. And the reviewer said he had just called the Genesis the new segment benchmark in his 2019 review, so it isn't like the Genesis is some way out of date vehicle.

Here's his review titled: 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T – The New Sport Sedan Benchmark

This Alpha Chassis is the best in the business. Absolutely the best. And proves, that when it comes to engineering, no one can out engineer GM...

He annoys TF outta me. I’ve said this before. That is a clumsy *ss kindergarten error. No true car person confuses the new Genesis brand with Hyundai. We ALL know they are two different brands now but have the same “party”. Mistaking them is like you all on this site forgetting I’m gay. lol Knock it off.
