    2019 Cadillac CTS-V Review

Here is a link to a syndicated article appearing in several U.S. newspapers last weekend--I saw it while reading the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper:

    https://www.bakersfield.com/ap/news/...828a0cfc6.html

It seems to me the writer has captured the essence of Cadillac's present situation. For me, I would rather they emulate their concept vehicles Ciel or El Miraj (or Cien) over the Escala concept vehicle.

Cadillac now has two lines at every trim level, sport or luxury..I think this solves the problems of one or the other.

I'll summarize this thread before there are many posts.

    1) Endless argument of going back to names even though there are plenty of examples that names mean nothing, it doesn't matter what you call it if the vehicle itself is great.
    2) Audi clone - drivel argument as if Audi/Germans has a lock on performance and the size and shape of the human body. One person wrote that comment and the press latched onto it. Just like the press latched onto CUE being a disaster, even though it is easy to use. Cadillac's are uniquely American inside and out.
    3) Marketing failure - it is a huge problem, but the topic has been beat to death

    Meanwhile me...

What they don't say is that this thing will actually take a 65 inch TV thru the opening but will of course have said TV hanging out 25 inches due to the seats when down not having a full opening.

Hoovie's Garage just reviewed a vintage Cadillac and took an even more extreme view of the situation:

Well thought out. Hard to argue with. As much cache as the V series adds, they definitely should concentrate all other trims on dripping with comfort and style.

Man....if there ever was a car you could get your groove on in, it would be that car!

Wow.. at 4:18 that guy actually summed up everything. Me personally I'm glad they changed into a Sport Lux.. but crazy that the history of it all started exactly there. 190HP from an 8.2L engine

and yeah.. I had a 1977 Buick Regal as my first car.. it was no Caddy.. (My parents had a '84 Sevile), but the back seat ... Good Times

Who needs the backseat? There was like 2 feet between him and the steering wheel!
