The mid-cycle refresh for the Equinox was first shown at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show—the last major auto show before the coronavirus forced the cancellation of all major events for the rest of the year and into 2021. The 2022 Equinox features updated styling that gives it a more mature look. Key to changes include a reworked grille, headlights, and taillights. For 2022, Chevy adds a new RS trim with black-painted badges and wheels, a glossy grille, and a black interior with red contrast stitching.
The current Chevy Traverse, a mid-size family crossover with three rows of seats, dates back to 2017. The updated 2022 model was revealed in March. Changes include narrower headlights, a more cohesive grille, a reworked fascia, and new LED taillights. Inside there is a new driver information center, nicer materials, and a rear power sunshade for the two-panel sunroof. The infotainment system adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well.
Yeah. I was poking around the interwebs yesterday and saw the same info at another site or two. I do think the restyle on the Equinox is decent enough too.
The interiors are very practical. I like the simplicity of the interiors, seamless technology and overall practical layouts. It would be sad for Chevrolet to lose that character.
Ha! Yes - otherwise the Chevy/Pontiac/Olds/Buick version all looked the same, just had that "bold, new grill"! Fortunately GM remembered to take of the "insert bold, new grill here" sign.
The 2022 Equinox should've gotten the same digital instrumentation as the 2022 Traverse and both should've gotten more soft touch materials to the interiors. Upper door sills for both 2022 vehicles where you rest your elbows should be soft touch and even the top of the dash should be soft touch even if partially jystnlije the competition I hope the fit and finish around the center console of the Equinox is improved as well. There are rumors that the 1.5 liter base engine will get a few more ponies. 10 to 20 will be welcome.
Rumor has it that the turbo 4 is back for 22....but downgraded from the 252 HP mill in the 2020 to the 227 hp version offered in the Blazer. The push for FE improvement is pathetic.
Yup, the 2.0L LTG engine is being phased out, with only Malibu and Camaro still offering it for 2021. The less powerful 2.0L LSY engine, which has been criticized for noise, vibration, and harshness, is the unfortunate replacement.
