Looks just as ho-hum and appliance/compliance like as Bolt.

if it looks like a duck, it's a duck.....................

If it looks like a car, but has a hatch, it's a truck!.......................

(Because the Bolt is classified as a truck, it's an EUV, right?)

    Re: Bolt "EUV" Spied

Everybody knew this was coming (since this version didn't come first). The Bolt's platform could have been used for a sporty two-seater, a four/five-seater sedan, or an EUV. So, now we have a "Bolt" EUV. What else would it have looked like? It looks exactly what was expected. There are many more dishwashers, microwaves, clothes washers, and stoves (i.e. "appliances") yet to come.

The EV wave is in its formative phase and is far from cresting. This is just another ripple.

Here is my guess; Car, Truck, EUV call it what you like, but this is a Cadillac or Buick version of the Bolt.

For the love of god...please use less gas saving wheels and tires....put some large diameter sidewall tires for a more butch look.

These tiny wheel and tire cuv s are never going to be in de,and by consumers..

Sometimes compromises have to be made...(make these higher fuel efficiency wheel/tire packages for those who need the highest efficiency.

The rest of us dont care...just offer these tiny wheel and tire as an economy option...

First sell passion and then sell efficiency....not efficiency first as it looks weird to consumers who would buy ev s for the silence and performance and arent worried about a few miles lost to have a vehicle that looks good.

Looks better and besides handling will be improved,

Not all ev cuv owners want the most mileage eeked out...some want performance ie. Handling and good looks over a few extra miles on battery range...

The first manufacturers who figure this out will have greater sales success.

Most lease these things so going aftermarket is not a logical option. It has to be sold by manufacturer...(tiny wheels and tires for extended range looks stupid and the average consumer will opt for ICE if manufactuers dont get this concept described...

That's what I say. Even if it is an economy geared model like this thing or even the compact and subcompact regular ICE cars. Make them normal and offer the "economy pack" set up like these things shown for thiose that really want it, and not be forcing it on everybody.

Honestly I don’t think this is the new CUV based on the enhanced BEV II platform. This looks exactly the same size as the Bolt EV. If I had to guess this will be the mid-cycle update for the Bolt EV and we are still yet to see the new larger CUV on enhanced BEV II.

Disagree on first point. How big do you want the wheels to be? I used to drive a Cobalt with 15" wheels. The Bolt EV is already rolling on 17" wheels with a 50% aspect ratio. In my opinion the wheels don't need to get any bigger. I don't want to be spending a fortune on wheels.

As for your second point I agree. They need to be marketing EV's on passion. Not on efficiency. Cars are an emotional purchase. And EV's need to do more than just pull on the environmental heart strings.

    Re: Bolt "EUV" Spied

If this is the Bolt EUV, then it’s not going to sell any better than the regular Bolt. Why does it have to be styled like a cheap econobox grocery getter? If it had great packaging with stunning evocative looks, it would likely sell in reasonable numbers, but based on this it’ll land in the marketplace with a big thud.

Imagine a Bolt styled like an XT4 or Jaguar E-Pace (both conservative but very handsome) and they’re in with a shot. Heck, if it looked closer to the Blazer, but a tad smaller, then perhaps it would find a decent amount of buyers.

The leaked picture of the Silver car looks much better, but the prototype doesn’t look as slick under the disguise, even though the silver one is not particularly earth shattering in the looks dept,
